He does pretty well he runs the 400m in 1min flat, the 800m in 2:30min( state record is 1:52 been held by the same person for over 20yrs) and the 5k in 18min over rough terrain (cross country) and with his new coach he is improving weekly.

The u.s record for the 800m is 1:42.60 and hasn't been beat since August 28, 1985. So no we are not a slow state by any means. His coach figures by the end of season he should be very close to the state record.

You could probably vape underwater too. Think of the sick cloud bubbles, man. Of course, I'm not recommending that you try this, just in case you end up as one of those tragic news stories involving e-cigarettes and stupid vapers.
While I never vaped under water, I did do something similiar. Been scuba diving since a kid and when I was about 17 a friend and I use to dive a certain wreck in ft. Lauderdale. This wreck always had pockets of air within certain areas on the ceiling . It was caused by other divers coming thru every day. We noticed this and one day my buddy stuck his hand up into this air pocket and noticed it was about a foot high and big enough to stick our heads into and breath. We then had a bright idea to bring something down with us in a zip lock bag and try it. The next dive we brought a lighter or matches (can't remember ) and something else. Before we entered the air space we took our regulators and squirted some fresh air up into the space, inflated our BC , took off our mask and took out our regulators and hung out there 100 ft under the ocean feeling very happy[emoji38] ... things you do when your young

Awesome! Sounds like it wasn’t only the ship that was wrecked :thumb:

Smoked on and off for 12 years.
Vaped 6 months.
Held breath 3mins 6 sec.
I could have gone a bit longer, but it wasn't comfortable. At a certain point, It's just about how many neurons one is willing to sacrifice.

I was always good at holding my breath. As a kid I could go 4 minutes, and swim several lanes underwater, (until my parents made me stop putting my own life in danger :D )

Wow 3 mins 6 secs :thumb: how many neurons do you have left? I would have to be cryogenically frozen to beat that!

I made it to the 1 minute mark and had to stop.
Honestly - I was disappointed with the time :(

Better than my less than 50 seconds (and that was difficult for me), I was shocked at how quickly I needed a breath. My lungs must still be healing

Hubby came in while I was using the stopwatch from google and he distracted me. Could be a good thing though, watching that stopwatch was killing me. I might have been able to go a bit longer...?

I can hold my breath for a full back and forth lap in the pool. I will work on this more. :)
