Only been vaping for about 2 months, smoked 1 PAD for the better part of 35 years, and I really can't say I see myself not vaping. I currently vape at 24mg, maybe that will be reduced, but as for now I don't see much changing, with the exception of changing go to flavors and adding more devices to the rotation.

I smoked for 30 years and vaped for the last 2 years. I really don't have any desire to quit vaping, but if something happened and my vape gear disappeared for some reason, I don't think I would need to go out and buy cigs. The addiction factor just doesn't seem as strong as it is with regular cigs, at least for me personally. GGTS's and a Lavatube are my main vapes at the moment.

I smoked on and off for 20 years, vaping for two months. I started vaping with a knock off ego-c. I wasn't sure it would satisfy and didn't want to spent much to find out. I was amazed it worked for me AND I liked it better then analogs. I quite analogs after the first day. I have now upgraded to a Provari and carto tanks. I couldn't believe the difference in taste with a single coil carto. WOW, the flavor!!! And I'm vaping less as long as I don't get carried away with the flavor. lol. I'm vaping 18mg but thanks the cartos I plan to step down to 12mg, once i vape up the 18mg i still have.
I plan on stepping down to quitting but i don't have a dead line date. I plan to take it in paces and enjoy myself along the way. Grin.

    Happy Vaping

    I do believe its different.
Smoking was just a pure addiction.
Vaping is now a hobby for many of us.
Look at it like this: Did you ever join a smoking cigarette groups message board?
    No.
It was something you just DID.
I have a blast with the vaping scene: equipment, flavors, etc. it's fun. To me it's more like fishing. Rods, reels, baits, lures, always another fish to try.
Only fishing is a more expensive hobby...

I have been vaping for seven months now, and don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. I love it! I have a collection of really great flavors...but it took months of trial and error, with many different vendors, to learn what NEVER to buy again. I currently alternate between two Volt X2 batteries, an Ego, and my Vamo...LOVE LOVE LOVE the Vamo! Right now I'm using T3's, but eager to try the new Protank...can't wait till it gets here! :)

I agree. I smoke cigars and a member of a number if online communities having to do with them. The difference for me is that I could put down cigars with no issues, but not the vape...still need to get over the dislike of being addicted to a hobby

I smoked cigs for about 3 years, not too heavily though. I had actually already quit on my own before I took up vaping. It wasn't so much needing the nicotine for me as much as I like the 'act' of smoking, or vaping. I really can't see myself stopping at this point... I don't see a reason to do so. I smell fine, I feel fine, and I'm not hurting anyone else.

Until they can find a "cure" for nicotine addiction?

I've never been able to break it. No matter what. Vaping seems to be, for myself, the least harmful way to get the nicotine. If I'm stuck with nicotine, I'd rather vape than smoke. I feel better already and it's been, what, two weeks?

Even if they did come up with a magic pill to stop nicotine addiction, I might actually vape 0mg and keep going. My big problem was and is I like smoking. I was (am?) a "pleasure" smoker. Still liked it even when the vast, vast majority of the times I smoked were rote habit to get the nicotine. I mean, I liked when I got the time to sit back and enjoy smoking. Not just suck the nicotine in while doing something else. So I could see myself doing this for... forever probably.

The reason I've gotten away from analogs so unexpectedly and so strangely easily is I like vaping more than smoking. Whatever pleasure I get from smoking, I'm getting more from vaping. So even if I broke the nicotine thing, I might do 0mg vaping for the enjoyment of it.

I dunno. For now, I'm just happy I've not a single cig in the house today and it's past 2 in the afternoon. That's never happened in the past thirty something years. Normally, I'd be out the door like a shot, off to grab a pack like a... oh, pick a street drug addict example at random. :)

Can't say for sure I won't smoke at all today but so far... I don't really want to...
