yum I loved calpol, used to ask for more when I was younger as it was so sweet but guess not everyones taste lol. I failed my first attempt as I couldnt find a nice flavour at the time but my second attempt it took me about a week or just over to finally decide I liked vapeing more and was turned off analogs. everyone is different but as long as you have cut down the analogs your on the right track and doing well. :):):)

Basically a bit over a year but I don't claim to have quit entirely. If I'm under pretty extreme stress, I still allow myself to smoke. I guess I'm lucky because a smoke then doesn't make me go back to smoking. I don't know what it is about stress that pushes my smoke-button. It sure isn't the nic as I get that vaping. I guess its just the need for old behavior. I'm satisfied that just one won't make me go back to smoking which is a relief in itself. However, I don't advise it as I might just be lucky and sure hope people don't get that kind of stress in their lives.

It took me about a week to transition with some Volt cigalikes from Smokeless Image. I allowed myself half a cigarette 3 - 4 times a day, while vaping as much as I wanted. Smoking the second half of those ciggies helped me develop a distaste for them. After the week was over and what was left of the last pack was finished, I haven't had a smoke since. It will be two years next month that I have been smoke free, and aside from one time early on when I let my batteries go un-charged, I haven't wanted a cigarette in all of that time.

Within a month of quitting, I advanced on by skipping the intermediate class Ego setups and went directly with an APV/mod.

It took me about three weeks. Had been smoking for 41 years at 2-3 PPD. Have been analog free for two weeks now. Four days after I quit I lit up a cig just to see, took two drags off of it and it tasted dry and flavorless, put it out and have not even tried another one since. Still carry the open pack in my briefcase but have not wanted to try one. Figure they should be stale by now, that way if I try one I know it won't taste good. lol Wife still smoking around me and has not bothered me at all.

About a week. Maybe a little less? 5 to 6 days? I didn't keep track really. I didn't set any rules for myself. In fact, I wasn't really planning on quitting. I just found myself picking up my ego more then my cigarettes. My husband wound up smoking the last of that last pack I had. I'm one of the lucky ones for whom cigarettes gradually became nastier and nastier the longer I vaped.

One day for myself and my wife.

New Years resolution. We went cold turkey until Jan 3. Then our Kanger EVOD starter kit arrived. No looking back. I finally thew out a pack of 19 cigs I had in my work bag last week. Knew it was there the whole time. Smoked the one missing from that pack about a week after starting vaping. It was nasty.

Today, my wife vapes 0 nic (loves Epic Applejax still), I just got my latest juice order (all at 6mg nic, the next order will be 0).

Don't know if I am going to stick with 0 nic or just keep on low nic for a while.

I have found I like vaping. I like tinkering with the hardware, I love the flavor of many juices. Those flavors, not the nic may keep me vaping. All that taste, no calories.

Go figure, I quit smoking almost 3 months ago and have lost 12 pounds too! I have always put on weight when I tried to quit before. ALWAYS!

I started with chantix, which got me from 2 cartons a week down to 5 cigs a day after a month. In desperation, I bought a cheapo Encore e-cig kit and some juice on October 15, 2013, and haven't touched a cigarette since. I blew a lot of money on crap, but I stuck with it. I got really unhappy with the money I was spending on junk, so I went to a local B&M and they set me up with a VMAX and an Iclear 30.

The rest, as they say, is history...

Nearly instantly, though everybody is different. I changed my setup a bit over the first couple of months before I finally settled on the 5-volt GLV-2. After two years, the threads on it finally got too stripped, and spare parts from the GLV website are always out of stock...so I just switched to the similar 6-volt VMX from the eCig Shop in Anoka, MN.
