How long do you boil your cotton, cotton balls, or yarn to sterilize before you use it to build your wicks/coils??

5 minutes X 2 works for me with cotton balls. Side by side, identical rba testing indicates quality taste right away vs. a long wait and a bit of nastiness with un-boiled.

What... Silica wick? Or do you want to try cotton or ekowool? Cotton is cotton balls... string wick is available here... and about 1,000 other places.

I boiled my first batch of about 12 cotton balls for about 20 minutes, like 3 months ago, and I'm only about half way through that batch taste great!
I did buy a pack of sterilized rolled cotton which I am not going to boil to use next

That rolled cotton is what I have and just boiled, ewwww it's looking nasty. May have to try cotton balls next time but that may be a while!

The ones I boil are "sterile"... but if I don't, they mute the juice flavor and add a slightly bitter chemical taste I can't identify... maybe it's the bleach they use to sterilize them, or maybe yours are a better quality product.

I've heard cotton. But I've heard it doesn't last too long. Don't want to be rewicking too often.
