How long do you keep your juices?

This doesn't apply as much to diy'ers, but for folks that purchase their juice. I have acquired quite a few of juices over the last couple years that I didn't care much for or were samples that I never got around to trying or were juices that were ok but set aside when I found something better or ..... etc.
Okay.....its true, My name is Roger and I am a juice hoarder. I have enough mixed juice to last a year--easily(assuming it's still good).
I have read the "experts" threads about how long juice should last but I'm more interested in the experience of my fellow REOnauts.
Do you date your juices? Do you trash them after a certain amount of time? Do you still have the first juice you ever bought but hated sitting on the back shelf of your juice storage just in case times get hard?

I've kept just about every juice I've purchased, even if I don't really care for it. There's that zombie apocalypse to keep in mind, y'know..

I'm just coming up on 9 months, and I've sampled some of the older ones, and they seem fine, although they'll still not become daily-vapes or anything. One time, I sampled one I thought I hated (Dekang RY4), but it turns out that it just needs to steep for a couple weeks to become delicious (to me). Since then, because it's become my daily-vape. Now, whenever I buy new bottles, I'll date them just to keep track of steeping time.

I figure that, eventually, I'll end up giving away the juice I'll clearly never use again. That would require inventory and (possibly) pics to put it all in PIF, but I'm lazy.

If I don't like something it goes in a coffee can, and stays there never to be seen again. That is what I did BEFORE DIY, but thats just because I didnt need the bottles, now that I need the bottles, I poured all that my buddy wanted in to other containers (he'll vape just about anything, he just adds menthol drops and it's good to him ) the rest gets poured down the sink because I wouldn't subject anyone to the cruelness of having juice they wont vape. plus it wasn't that much. now I have one bottle, about 50ml, that i made DIY. I liked it the first week so I guess I will wait till I come back around to it.

here's an idea, get some DIY flavoring you think would improve the flavor of a few of your juices, and try it. I know I can't stand to see a full 30ml bottle sit in drawer unused. Its amazing how much you can improve juices by adding a little vanilla, caramel, coconut, pecan, or menthol. also tobacco absolute and ethyl maltol help if you like that. I wouldn't consider that really DIY, just turning vanilla ice cream in to an ice cream sundae

Well...ya know I'd do just that but sales come along and I find myself buying 3 months worth of juice that I know that I like. I don't seem to get back to vaping the juices I kind of like, much less the ones I don't like at all. It's a vicious circle.

I know the feeling. It was hard for me to switch to DIY, I love bobas bounty sooo much, and I doubt I will ever be able to recreate it. It's going to be even harder for you to vape your old stuff if you can afford to buy new premade, but money has been tight for me this year with taxes and trips and all. my vape budget has been absorbed by the everything else budget

I gave away hundreds of ml's in the past ......
Now I buy 4 flavors in 100 to 200 ml lots and those stick around about 3 months max.

I've never been one to think .... well I might get back around to it.
So I decide in the first week if its a keeper/giver/flusher

Being that I don't really enjoy the DIY like I thought I would going the 4 flavor route saves me money.
Its been 7-8 months since I've bought anything I didn't all ready know I love.

But for doomsday if you the hoarding type I would have no problem vaping old juice unless it made me sick.

I have given away around 500 ml in the last few months. To members that were in need on the ECF (PIF or "need help" threads). The ones that I have donated are only a few months old. They weren't my favorites but, they will surely last a month or so for those people.

At least until they can get enough funds to buy juice for themselves. Still have about a 6 months supply left after all that I've given Anyways, my point is that it might be a good idea to help some people out with some of the juices. That you might never use.

Luckily most of the juices that I have bought are dated. I've noticed that the flavor has changed a bit through time. Some better while others lost almost all it's flavor. Also, some have lost a bit of punch and don't give the TH that they used to. Those ones are about a year old now. IMO it's not worth it to keep juices that long. Will most likely toss these juices in the garbage in the next few weeks. If I can't finish it.

I'm a new return vaper. I am nearly out of the original 30ml i ordered. I'm staring at multiple bottles of 2 year old juice. If the new stuff i ordered doesn't come in time i will probably give it a go. it's mostly Chinese mint/menthol juice. And some DIY mint juice.

I'll update you on the quality.

I have a few hundred ml I'll never use. Most is at least a year old and from good venders but hasn't been stored in cooler. Did pull out, from cooler, some FSUSA that has late 2010 dates. Most are excellent juices that many people like. Our flavor preference range is very narrow. I, too, have been lazy about PIFing. Taking a bunch to meetup so more responsible people can distribute it. I have a bunch of high nic pg and vg, three gallons of plain PG, 1/2 gal plain VG, and growing collection of flavorants. One of our favorites, FSUSA Applewood I'll never be able to duplicate I don't think so will probably stay well stocked with that.

If they don't come in with dates I do date them. If I don't like them I am always tuning folks on to vaping and some they love others not so much but I usually pass them on unless they are just awful and some are.

Since going to vg I keep back stock in the fridge and about 15 working bottles in the toolbox. I have fixed some with flavorings I did just last week clean out anything more than 18 months old and washed out the bottles. Sad to say several of my BWB were spoiled.

I've been DIYing pretty much since the beginning. I've only come across a few flavors that were totally unvapable with some more tinkering... It's odd though, I've been going back to some of my earlier flavors that I didn't care so much for at the time and I'm finding that they're great now. There are some that are on the weak side, but I find adding a bit more or adding sweetener helps. Amazing how much better my sense of taste is now...

I've bought exactly 60mL of premixed liquid since I started. I finally gave the last of it away a couple of months ago. I haven't been at this quite a year yet, so I don't guess any of mine would have weakened yet. I just can't imagine exactly how it would "go bad". Nic can weaken, flavor can weaken, but I can't imagine it would make anyone sick...

I have a dozen or so recipes that I rotate through, with another 3 or 4 that I ALWAYS keep on hand, and I have very little waste that way.
