They don't last long, and the better performing your atty/cart is...the faster it gets drained.

Give cartomizers a try.

Also there are a couple of cartridge options out there that you might like.
Smart Carts come in a version for 510 and Mega atties. The 510 ones might work with a 901 atty as well?

Lucid Carts for 510 and 901.

Smarts and Lucids are more tank-like, but still work with regular atomizers.

There are LOTS of ways to get juice to your atty. I'm one of the few, apparently, who like the "regular" carts okay. As long as you fill them properly and replace the "stuffing" when it needs it, I find them to be more durable, reliable, and leak proof than most other options.

Also like smart carts- a bit more of a PITA, but when you set'em up right, they do what they're supposed to do.

To answer your question- a filler regular 510 cartridge lasts me all morning, if I'm working. All of 30-45 minutes if I'm say at my computer.

But it just depends on how much you vape it...

And, adding to what others have said, you could look to a future purchase of one of the bottom-feeding mods. Much easier to keep the atomizer/cartomizer optimally filled. I can't believe I waited so long to switch to them.

Your original question - maybe 20 to 30 puffs. It's been so long since I used a cartridge it's hard to remember. Works, but way too much trouble...

A cart should last much longer than this. The bridge alone wihtout a cart can hold enough for that many puffs....

Depends on how you puff/drag, I guess. 20-30 drags, that's a good two ciggies worth for a lot of folks. The bridge on my 510s holds 2-3 drops, depending on how dry it is. That's maybe 5-8 drags, depending.

20-30 good drags off a cart sounds okay- it's always "more or less" depending on how your wicking material is working, how hot your atty is burning, and a bunch of factors.

But to get 20-30 drags dripping, I'd have to drip 3-4 times. (2 drops at a time.)

Ah...I've been priming mine (510 wide bridge) with 8 quite healthy drops.
5 drips
2 burns
3 more drops

That gives a full bowl, saturated wicks, and a wet bridge screen.

Maybe...I use LR stuff on my eGo batteries, and on the Darwin I usually like it between 6 and 8 watts (around 4.2v on a 2 Ohm atty).

4.2 volts on a 2.0 ohm atty is exactly what my Riva SE does at a full charge. I vape all day and don't notice a lot of drop off and have never had one die where in needs to be charged. I charge em once a day. At 4.0v a 2.0 ohm hits right at 8 watts. With a battery going down to 3.5v you still get 6.13 watts so still in good vape ville.

I use carts and I get about 16 to 18 drops in each on a fresh fill. That can last me 2 hours easily. I don't like the atty to go dry or even take a chance of that so I top off my cart or check at about every 30 minutes.

I think I might just have to try these drip shields so as not to flood while dripping

Note: Flooding is when there's just too much juice for the coils to vaporize...the shield won't necissarily prevent this.

What it will do is help prevent a mess if you over-saturate to a point that juice runs out the bottom of your atty. Over time you can suck this back up into the atty and vape it instead of it running all down your battery or getting wiped up with a tissue :)

If it does flood, you can either keep vaping through it till it all evens out...or give it a bit of a blow..pushing eccess into the drip shield to be sucked up vaped later, or cleaned out and thrown away...which ever comes first.

You can customize your draw a bit with them as well.
Nice bling too :)

To me...it was about $15 bucks well spent (including shipping and all).
