How long does it take to get used to a new level of nicotine?

Going from 12 mg/mL to 8 mg/mL is a pretty big reduction (33%). You'll have much better luck tapering down slowly. I'd try 11 mg/mL for a week, 10 mg/mL the next week, and so forth. Then in a month you'll be down to 8 mg/mL and you will probably not even notice the change since it will be so gradual.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday just chain vaped the hell out of the 8mg without satisfaction, the 12 is ok I don't chain vape it constantly but it does give me a slight headache and raises my blood pressure. I'm going back up to my local vape shop tomorrow and see if they can make me a batch of 10mg juice and see how that works.

If you have some of your 12 mg left just mix it half and half with your 8 mg and you will have 10 mg.

I have no desire to go to 0mg nic. Over the years I have lowered mine from 24mg with cig-a-likes, down to 18 with better equipment and now I mix some as low as 6 mg for dessert flavors and up to 16mg for others. I only started lowering mine when my body told me it was time. I started getting a slight headache and felt a bit quivery/shaky. The lower nic fixed me right up.

I started at 24 mg on a blu e-cig. After a week, I got a Subvod using 3 mg. The only main difference is that I vape more on the Subvod, but it hasn't really affected me too much. I still use my blu, mostly in the car on the way to and back from work. I do also occasionally use a 6 mg in my Subvod, but not often. I found the intensity of sub-ohm vaping using lower nic levels to be enough to offset the lower nic levels, especially when I upgraded to a 200 watt Kbox with a TFV8 tank, but not everyone likes sub-ohm, dl, cloud chasing vaping, but this is fine. What's most important is to find a level that suits you enough to keep off the analogs. Nicotine isn't really that bad, so just take it slow if you're wanting to lower your nic intake.
Oh and I have another question. I also have a aspire cleito tank that I first got when I started out and found it to be a bit too strong for me at first. I kinda want to get back into sub ohm vaping every once in a while you know switch tanks like twice a week or something. Since I'm vaping 12 in my Nautilus should I try 6 or 3 in my cletio?

About a month ago I cut down to 8 from 16 . After about 3 weeks I was back up to 16. Now having another go this time I'm cutting down to 11mg and 12 mg depending on what liquid I'm using. The reason I'm doing this is because the 16 was making me feel ill. It's been a couple of days now and I really hope this works as got 7 bottles of 11mg and 4 of 12mg. Vape on and live long..

I found going from 12 to 6 mg with a subohm setup to work quite well. Given the cravings you just went through with lowering your nic in your regular setup you might want to go with 9 mg and see how it feels. If it's too strong, drop down to 6 mg.

One nice way to adjust your nic so you don't have to keep running back to the store is to simply buy some 0 mg nic in your flavor. Then you can dilute your higher amount nic down without diluting the flavor.

Since you are vaping pre-made juices you might ask the vape shop about Tobacco Absolute. One drop in 30ml of juice will add that slightly ashy cigarette feel. It comes in 5%, 10%, and 50% concentrations so you might start with the 5% and go from there. ONE DROP is all it takes, so don't go crazy with it when you add!

I assume you are vaping tobacco flavors since you are looking for throat hit. Read the reviews for how much people add to a small amount of juice. The one below is what I've been using. 1 drop per 30ml is a good start point. I use 2 drops in 50ml and it's about right.

I started 4 1/2 years ago at 24mg. Most of my drops were because my body told me to (anxiety, wooziness). I usually dropped by 3s...24, 21, 18, etc.

When I started dropping on purpose I found it hard to do the 12, 9, 6 thing, so I took smaller steps...12, 10, 9, 7 1/2, 6, 5, 4, 3, 1 1/2...every 3-6 months or so. If I got cravings, I went back up for a while.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
Well, for me, I`m sorta already used to it when I make the change. I change when I start to get nick sick at the level I`m at. About 10 months ago we went down to 15, and there have been times in the last three-four weeks when it has been too much and I feel my stomach turn, so in a couple weeks we`ll go to 12 mg and I`ll already be acclimated to it.

This is how I`v handled it all along, letting my body be my guide. I started at 36mg almost three years ago and believe me, I had to have that at the time! But as the vaping has progressed, the devices and my technique, it seems my body is needing (demanding?) the nicotine less and less. Its a beautiful thing and its all happening quite naturally.

Iv held the belief that BT knows this and its the part that has really got their nickers in a bunch, they know its a progressively successful wellness slash cessation formula that WORKS and they cant deal with that. Eventually it means the absolute end of their business model, PERIOD.
