For me it lasted about two months. Now I'm pretty content to order some cartomizers and maybe some juice flavorings each month. I know, how terribly boring. LOL

But I'm pretty satisfied with the devices I have. And I make my own e-liquid so I save a bundle there.

I have already began saving over what I spent on ciggies. :)

The good thing is you started with what it took me 18 months and lots of dollars to find. Most are still searching for what you have but don't know it. Do you have the Echo auto 1300 or 650? The riva is a good choice for testing juice or if something comes out with 510 threads that you want to try but you are going to be hard pressed to find something that beats the Echo overall. I know because I've tried most of the standard PV's and several mods including the variable voltage.

I can only speak for myself, of course. I have kept "to the cent" records since day one, on a spreadsheet.
Today is day #522. Graphing my average expenditures/day I find that my insane spending ended after about four months.
After 522 days, my average is still a bit above what I would've spent on a carton per week at retail value, but not by much.

I honestly am not as concerned about saving money as I am about extending my life, and being able to breathe for my remaining days.

-----
35+ years smoking 1.5 packs a day. 522 days smoke free. :) Yay!!!

Just wondering, otrpu, have you compared to what you spent on cigarettes? For me, that would've been over $5,000 in the 17 months in which I've spent about $5200 on vaping. Some of that total I write off to experimentation ... not productive. Oh, and there's no question that at the beginning I was simply throwing money at the fear that I'd return to smoking cigarettes. I'm over that now. No way in hell that will happen, even if vaping was taken away from me.

And, I calculate being able to hold my breath for 90 seconds as being priceless.

But, more on topic ... after a lot of experimentation, I find that I can go weeks ... on a few occasions months, without spending a dime. I'm well stocked. And, couldn't be more pleased with the improvements in my health.

Seriously? Unless I'm wrong, you haven't bought a single mod yet--that's where the money really goes fast. A mountain of sample flavors grows fast, too.

Worth it, though. I don't regret a dollar I've spent so far. And, like nearly everyone here, my shopping list gets longer every day.

FWIW, though, you've made more solid initial purchases than most, to be sure.

Donna: It ain't never gonna go away..........that's the fun of it. The anticipation of the mailman bringing something new, the joy of unwrapping and looking at it. The adventure of trying something different.......what is not to love about this new hobby?

I agree 100% with everything you said. All I can add is that every time something new, better or cooler comes out I just gotta have it. I don't always get what I want but it's fun to look and have something to look forward to down the road.

The trick to not spending money is to stay off the forums :) you gotta learn that

That is so true. I think I lost my mind somewhere for as much money as I've spent on mods, juices and attys. One would think I was going into the business of selling juice as much as I have bought. Over 30 vendors now and climbing.

I'm about $3,000 in the hole. It never stops but my health is priceless so I don't care about the money. I stock up on items that I always use...batteries for mods, cartomizers, and juice. I have backups for my backups for my backups. I never want to get caught with my pants down (that would be scary).

Some new variable voltage mods will be released soon and I've got my eye on 2 so far. I'm waiting to see what colors come out.
