So I bought two 510-t kits..one for myself and the other for my brother. I wish I had started this ages ago! Haven't had a analog since my first day! So in love with this so I jumped right in and ordered a riva kit, cartomizer, and more juice from nw vapors today. Can't wait to try new flavors.... Any advice? Wondering if I should have gone with a eGo or echo? Still so new not sure what's best..

Welcome to ECF.

Personally I prefer the Riva over the eGo. The eGo is regulated at 3.2-3.4 volts. It gives constant performance from the time you take it off the charger until the battery is depleted. The Riva is unregulated and provides 4.2V off the charger. It's performance diminishes as the battery gets depleted but it still provides better performance (more volts) than the eGo for most of its charge.

Good Luck on your vaping journey...

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

I agree with all Stef64 is saying.

The thing for you to keep in mind is, we are only referring to a different (larger) battery than you have now. These are still 510 threaded and you can still use all your goodies on them. Use what you have now and if you feel you would like or need longer battery life you can move to Riva, eGo (regulated at 3.2 - 3.4, I don't want one, either), kGo or any other eGo type battery later.

I use an eGo type 1100 mah (pass-through) battery that charges with a USB cable in the flat end so that I can still vape while it is charging. All of the ones mentioned here are quite inexpensive and you do not need to buy the complete kit (since you already have a 510 kit and equipment) just the battery part.

It can be as simple as you want or as complicated and expensive as you want. The 24K Gold (Plated) Provari is very nice, but not necessary!

I think a lot of people move up as they go along... Some might start with a disposable and then move up to an ego type. Some get hooked on mods and others on juices.... There sure is a TON of stuff to try and in the beginning you can easily spend a lot more money on this stuff than you did on smoking. But, in the long run, you will definitely be saving money!

Welcome and Good Luck!

Thanks guys.. Still getting the basics down.:) just so thrilled to have discovered vaping! I tried a cheap disposable cornor market ecig last year and hated it... Glad I decided to give the real thing a try! Its a whole new world...

I started with the small battery pre-filled cartridges and I could get down to 2 - 4 analogs a day but couldn't get past them until I got "the real thing". Yes it is, it's a whole new world!

Some get hooked on mods and others on juices....
..and some on both :)
although i'm rather new as well, i have a few mods (a provary, a few (3) lavatubes, silver bullet, etc), maybe 3+ dozen juices, cartos, attys and tanks to last me 'til next decade :)
hey, whatta heck, 'til now i got my tastebuds back, i can run 10 block back and forth w/o spitting my lungs out and smell things i didn't even know had a smell... that worth much more than the money i've spent, imo

Welcome to the ECF and congrads on your 8 days! Anything you buy is better than analogs. I am new also and only been off the stinkies for about 6 weeks. What a rush! I think you did better than I did as I bought a 2 piece set to start out with but I guess it worked so it was a good choice LOL. I just ordered a Lava tube knock off from apollo e cigs and can't wait to get my variable voltage feet wet. Then its on to the Provari if I like it and I don't know where if I don't. I couldnt believe how cheap the VV kit was. If you decide to try VV this was only like 63 bucks with their 20% off for your 1st order from them and 10 bucks cheaper if you don't get the SS one. I just think stainless steel looks so cool with a SS tank on top. Thats my next thing...

The consistency is also a big issue. The battery, the atomizer, the juice... each piece needs to be firing right in order to stop the craving (for me). I've found that a good PG/VG blend, a variable voltage/wattage pv, a better-than-average atomizer, and a flavor I enjoy are all critical to keep me away from a lighter and nail.

I'm on my 2nd run with PVs and am very excited. The technology and juices have come a long way since my first attempt at quitting, over 2 years ago.

I love my new Provari + io6 atomizer + new juices.
