I just started vaping a little over 6 weeks ago and I love it. I have now made it longer off cigarettes than I have in over 50 years. I started on an analog look alike and then I discovered ECF! Well after spending hours reading on the forum, I ordered an Echo (two actually), which I love. Now I've been experimenting with all the different juices, and today I decided I just HAD to have a Riva so I could drip and try the juices before filling that big cart that the Echo has! Please reassure me that this too shall pass!! I'm not going to reach that "break even" mark any time soon, but I feel better, breath better, and can smell again so I know that it's a good thing.

You could've bought an atty...can't remember if its 801 or 901? It does slow down some for some of us. I actually spend less a month on this than I spent in a week for cigs...that's without counting lights, ashtrays and such.

ETA: in case someone who doesn't know reads this you can also get the big echo cartos to fit the riva (and any 510 model) they're called echo-e cartos. I am going to get some for my ego next month.

Hey HB, don't keep it a secret, which 2 are you eyeballing.

I'm about $3,000 in the hole. It never stops but my health is priceless so I don't care about the money. I stock up on items that I always use...batteries for mods, cartomizers, and juice. I have backups for my backups for my backups. I never want to get caught with my pants down (that would be scary).

Some new variable voltage mods will be released soon and I've got my eye on 2 so far. I'm waiting to see what colors come out.

Even after you find something that works well for you there's still stuff you'll want. I have to rip myself away from the Ali'i picture threads sometimes, and I'm really happy with my Go Go. That's going to be like another $250 bucks down the drain just because it's pretty...

I have to agree. I love my ego but still have my eye on a vv mod. the bad part is I would have to buy 2 bc of hubby. maybe someday.

Okay, I'm very new at this, but I can easily see how it could get out of hand. I did enough research here before my first purchase that I am satisfied that I have good equipment and a reasonable set of spare parts. Aside from juice, cartos, and replacement parts, I should be good for awhile.

Wish me luck!

yeah see that what the boyfriend says....you have good stuff...you don't need anything else.....want and need are not the same thing. It's my wants that need to be satisfied...I don't buy purses and I don't buy shoes, ya gotta give me something to indulge in.

Spending never really ends.

When I break even, I buy more mods, about the same amount of what I would have spent on the real nasty cigs.

For instance, this month's purchases:

GLV3
2 Boge Revolution 2.1 (1400 mah)
100 Clear Dual Coil Carto's

Last month I spent (a lot of money) trying different juice vendors! With some help from dspin I found some more coffee ejuice that I really enjoy!

Making my list for next month!:p

Yeah, Hairball, what two mods are you looking at now? Inquiring minds wanna know!

For me, want and need are the same thing. And I do buy shoes! I really don't need any juice or hardware. But I keep losing my pv so I think I need a Lanard. And a nice little case. And a little juice holder. I could probably pick up a few more bottles and drip tips. It never ends!

My smoking habit was roughly 200 a month. I figure if I stay under that it justifies my spending on e-cig stuff. So, I can get a decent mod and some juice every month if I wanted to. Put it into perspective works for me hehe

If I didn't buy all the crap that I do or the zillions of bottles of juice I don't use I could have bought a decent mod.

It's this board! I blame the board. It makes me spend money.

So many of you have mentioned mods that I'd like to know what makes them so good. Are they that much better than the other things?

If you find vaping's for you, but it just ain't doin' it (there's something missing), then you'll start looking at mods. They hit a little different (assuming you're sticking with 3.7V). And then after your first mod you think "that's good, wonder what 5v does" and it's on to the next mod.

After you find your niche, just seeing the next mod looks good, ya gotta have it.
