Darn it, I forgot to come back and update. My order that shipped priority mail on the 13th was delivered safe and sound on the 19th. And Annette was correct, when I checked the tracking on the 19th, just like magic all the arrived, departed updates had appeared. Still, USPS took their sweet time! Only 3 days more than they originally expected. I have never had such a wait for priority mail before, regardless of where in the country it was coming from.

At least I have my lovely flavors now.....ahhhh, nice!

I am trying to be patient, but losing the battle! USPS is definitely on my 'list' these days. My order was shipped priority on July 13th with the notification showing expected delivery on the 16th. Tonight I checked the tracking, it is still sitting in Cali!

Someone's priorities are not on the same page as mine!

....need my delicious VV flavors.......
(not blaming Annette one bit)

Q, I am in the same situation now. So it looks like it took 3 extra days to get to you after the expected delivery date huh?

Granted, I haven't had this problem. Maybe because I'm in major mail hub. But I'm seeing it with so many customers...they are paying for Priority Mail and it doesn't seem the Priority packages are arriving any more quickly than they would with First Class Mail. :2c:

This is most likely the issue, mail hub locales vs. non.

Unfortunately, some customers pay for Priority Mail delivery and are under the misconception that it means they're paying Virgin Vapor to prioritize their orders. ALL of our orders are priority orders, but Priority Mail shipping is purely a function of the USPS.

Yah. I can see when its shipped days ago by VV, but the time it takes is all up to the USPS. Bless em, because I know theyre struggling. I mean, where would we be if all mail was capitalist for-profit? UPS and Fedex could hike their prices to anything they want.

I would also like to add that we strongly encourage our customers to purchase insurance on your orders. It's only a little over a buck, and it will protect you if your package is damaged or tampered with en route. We've had a few reports of this recently and really hope you'll consider spending the extra buck and a half to insure safe delivery of your precious liquids! :)

Just to update...ended up taking 13 days for this order. That has never happened before. I placed an order after that one and it came at lightening speed. I guess you just never know.

I HATE usps!!!!
I had to get a po box for my important mail (taxes, bills etc) cause the mail woman was loosing stuff in her car from the post office to my house. Not to mention, my garbage cans get driven over if they are in the way.

That is such a shame! :(

After some of the terrible stories I read about, I feel very fortunate to have a wonderful mail lady who is very careful with my mail and packages! I hate it when we have a sub because I know they're not as careful...my mail lady will be getting a nice treat from me this Christmas! :)

You get a sub?
lol I just don't get mail if they are sick or out for the day.

I used to have great mail in NJ but living in PA now it has changed quite a bit.

I use priority specifically for the boxes. The only time I had a juice order damaged was when I ordered first class. They crushed a 1 oz bottle of Annette's mint choc chip, stuck the remnants in a plastic sleeve that is also an apology note. Not to mention it leaked onto my other mail. The upside is, my mailbox smelled like dessert for a spell.

I made an error by not clicking priority, as on Annettes's site, IIRC, first class being the default. Sad thing is, I caught my error after it had been shipped and just knew some club-footed-Neanderthal was going to squash my order.

Now I am extra sure to select priority. For the 2.00 difference, money that I would likely waste on something else trivial in my daily travels, I think the box is worth it. My mailman tells me they are more careful with the boxes by design. They are stacked to save space etc, instead of just tossed in bins or what have you and not thrown around like soft mail may be. It looked as if my order that broke was the victim of a sorting machine perhaps.

I TOTALLY agree that the Priority Box is worth it! It might not get to you much quicker, but it's definitely extra protection from the Neanderthals!
