What's the longest lasting atty you've had?
What's the shortest?

Just curious.

Longest: 3 month old 901 still going. Not good as new, but not dead yet!
Shortest: 901 after two weeks

510...I'll let you know...still going...been almost two months now.

Yeah, you really gotta clean those things every month or two.

Trouble is that when a lot of people say they have had atties that have last for many months, you find out they have actually been vaping with loads of different devices for all those months and not just with the 'one' atty, Or else you find out they only vape 1/2 a mill a day!..... or else they are a supplier..lol.

This is very true. my RN4081 just died today, and that has been used daily for the past 4 months. It's my favorite in heat and vapor production. My other three get less usage, actually the 510 and m401 do. The 901 is my second fav in a particular mod.

But, also this should be taken into account. I vape my RN4081 at 5v 1 amp. My 901 used to be at 5v 1amp but now it's 3.7-4.2 v 1.5 amps. They all run hotter than any factory ecig.....so, although there are variables, some have greater degree of variable risks than others and still achieve a lengthier time than most claim. Who can explain it?:p

My belief is, most failure is contributed to user error.

Agreed. Asking how long an atomizer lasts is meaningless unless you can qualify it with how much they vape, what PV they use, whether they drip or just top off, whether they rotate atomizers, whether they clean atomizers, how they clean atomizers, how often they clean atomizers and what type liquid they use.

The other end of the spectrum is insisting that atomizers are disposable and you should just plan on replacing them everyweek or two... speaking of suppliers...
It just doesn't seem to be the case. (3ML/day)

I have only had 1 4075 doa, I have 12 of those. I have 14 510's 3 going strong for 2 mos. 4075's 4 mos. Just take care of them. Give em a Alcohol bath and blow them out.
I vape 3 mils day. 36 mg and 24mg. I rotate 3 atomizers, changing a few time a day. I have 11 new attys stored away. I still believe the luck I have with both types of attys is the cleaning and rotation.

I've had 1 BE112 atty burn open at about the 6 week mark, but it was my fault for dry burning and over doing it.

No other failures for me. I only clean if vapor goes too low, or to remove bad tastes from testing different juices which is rare.

I use the same BE112 atty over 90% of the time and tend to chain vape on it. The one I use most is still the best of the bunch so I've had no reason to switch it out and it's been cleaned only once with no nightly draining. I blow it out about once a day just as a general practice.
