The Pit of Despair
When I first got my AGA-T2, I decided it would be a good idea (after a couple adult beverages) to break down a perfectly-working coil to attempt another using a thicker wick. That was at around 11:00pm. By 1:30am I'd just about given up, then went back to it until nearly 3:00am.

So longest: almost 4 hours. I never did get that coil working and ripped it out the next day.

Shortest, less than five minutes. Sometimes they just work right away.

After getting some highend rbas, I put my did clone up for a couple weeks. I took it out a few days ago to play with and nailed it the first time! Perfect...all the coils lit up immediately, no shorts or hot spots and no tweeking needed! This was with a wick that I had had in it previously so that helped. It's still working perfectly :D

i literally NEVER have a problem with mine, i wrap it, tighten it down, don't even test with a multimeter (cause i have wrapped so many darn coils by now, and know what to look out for, and know a 3/4 wrap with 32 for me gets me 1 ohm every time) and put the cap on pour juice in and vape, i've never had an issue TBH, takes me about ~3 minutes (just timed) to tear down an old coil, re wrap a new one, install and take first puff)

I had a horror show of a time for a while. I switched to .28 wire and I use the cigarette paper method. Works like a charm. Much better then the drill bit method IMO. Plus I get to burn paper too, which is just awesome. I spent last night cleaning a rolled mesh in water, 1 minute or less, then torching it, about 1 minute, wrap with cigarette paper, 1 minute, install in empty Birkshire ATTY, wrap coil. Adjust, burn off paper. About 10 minutes. No issues, works like a charm.
