I've read on the forum about people going through atty's like Ex-lax through the stomach.

Of the original 4 - 901 atty's (2 with my starter kits) and 2 purchased at the same time 7 months ago, 3 are still going strong.

Of the 4 atty's I purchased 4 months ago, 3 are still going strong.

What is the longest your atty's have lasted?

I only use 3.7v but I have only killed one 510 atty in the last 4 months. I have ten others in rotation for various flavors, 2 of those have been in the rotation for the entire 4 months and are my heaviest used ones. I have only one 901 atty and I don't use it as much but it has also been used on and off for the past 4 months.

When I was vaping at 3.7, some lasted for months. I dripped then, and I drip now. Since I started vaping at higher voltages, I've been frying them left and right. Some only last 2 days. 510's, 901's, 801's, regular and HV atties. Cartomizers, too. I've kept them wet, kept them dry, and everything in between.

Now, atomizers fear me. I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds. Entire atomizer civilizations have fallen before my withering gaze, deadly as time.

My first atomizer, an RN4081 that I bought in may of 09 still works, but it sucks so I only use it if I have nothing else. My first set of attys in my 510 kit lasted me about 4-5 months. (my sig is an estimation of when I quit analogs entirely) Gotta admit, this damn 4081 just won't die. Works about as well as when I bought it too... (see also crappy)

Most recent set of 510 atomizers I had all died within 1-2 days each on 3.7 volts. I think the guys at Joye are just being lazy. ;)

My experience with 510 attys is all over the map due to what I believe is just poor quality control in making them, ( and poor user knowledge on my part from learning how to use them right ).
Some have lasted months ( rotating 2 at a time) , some have lasted days or weeks before frustration has led me to destroy them with cleaning and tinkering.
And when I think an atty has lasted for months, I try a new one and realize that I didn't know how poorly that 'long lasting atty' was
( these things are not made to last forever)

In my opinion, the atty is the worst part of this habit but considering what I have benefitted from in the past 10 months it has been a good trade off.
I do hope that this pv technology grows to make a better product and is not put down by the powerful tobacco lobby and the FDA.
I really want smoking to rise to a new level of the pv in the near future and hope we are all just in on the begining of something that will only get better not be banned.
But hey, I live in Boston , everything gets banned here sooner or later:(

3-4 months on most of my JOYE 510s, 3 weeks now on my 901s - since Dec Ive had a total of roughly 4 attys die, and 3 were non Joye 510, and they lasted 2 months. 1 was a genuine JOYE and it got to 3 months and then I posted about how great my attys were and it promptly died just to make me liar LOL
I have around 8 attys in rotation (I just counted, didnt realise it was so many lol) inc the 2 901s.
I keep em moist (I drip all the time), dont wash em, vape em as hot as they will get (901s hot, 510s volcanic) and blow em out in between flavors (even the 901s as i have no idea how to deal with those lol). If they die they get thrown out; as long as I get more than a week out of them Im happy. 3 JOYEs from cignot costs me $30 shipped, and a carton of cigs for a week cost me $28. I used all the cigs inside a week, usually my attys keep on going - thats the only way I measure it and so far, Im miles ahead :)

:lol::lol: I guess there is no rhyme or reason in atty life. I seldom rotate my atty's. I chain vape my 901 on a manual PT until it is hot - I mean HOT!! Then I let it cool down and start right back again.

Things might change when I get my GLV. So far I've been lucky that mine have lasted as long as they have. I did fry one manaul and one automatic passthrough though.

Hmmm, maybe I should think about getting different backups. Shopping Spree!!!!!!:w00t:

I have been really fortunate, only killed off maybe 3 attys in 13 months. I rotate through 5, although not all that regularly, and I dry burn them maybe 3 times on an average day. Have used nothing but my nicosticks for several months now. I keep 3 full set ups going because I do not always have time to stop and refill when I am working.

I rarely loss an atomizer vaping on the 510 ecig. Since switching to 3.7 and 6.0 volt I have loss about 15. I switched to XHV. Got 5 of them at one time and within a day all were dead. Ordered 3 from a different company and 2 of them are dead within one week. Maybe I should go back to vaping regular 510s. Even the XHV atomizer at 3.7 or 6.0 are dying. I don't know what happened to the quality of atomizers. The first supplier that I ordered 5 from had a two week warranty so I got these replaced. Out of the 5 new ones only one has died. The second supplier had no warranty.

You may want to consider buying these from a supplier that offers a warranty. You can purchase these from the supplier with the warranty for the same price as the supplier without a warranty.
