I'm not sure why, but my Clearomizer has been giving me a very weird feeling lately - tightness in chest - but Carto's don't.
I've had some Carto's and I'm not sure how long they're supposed to last - do you keep them topped up all the time to make 'em last long? I've had the ones with the outer bottles last awhile and I really liked it, but it was a piece of ..... It had no secure so it would just pop off and juice everywhere (a guy on YouTube was doing a test of it and it happened to him as well).

So! any suggestions on a) a better carto with a tank, or b) long lasting carto solution?

Cartos can last as long as a month? if treated well. Thats my experience. Sometimes i stretch them if i know im waiting to order more or somethin. They have a tank now that locks the carto in. No more pulling your vape out of your pocket by the tank and juice spilling everywhere. Madvapes carrys them.

Other tanks to consider:
1. Phiniac
2. J-tank(electronicstix.com)
3. Ibtanked
just add a .com after any name and that's the site as well.

In terms on how long a carto is "supposed" to last. That's dependent on the vg/pg ratio, do you chain vape, power hit(big ol long drags), or "girly" drag(small puffs). Depending on how you vape Iv'e seen a week to a month plus out of a carto.

Tanks can give problems if using citrus or cinnamon juices. It's best to switch to a glass tank. IBTanked, or Phiniac. PBusardo gave Phiniac the best honors, but IBTanked are OK too. I'm not sure about the J-Tank.

What is 'treated well' then? Mine last like 2 days then they only seem to take like 10 drops of juice vs. 30~ ?

Also, I typically order from canvape - would the carto's be the same from my previous carto tank? (Smoktech I think it was)

sometimes I chain vape, and take big hits. But I mean to get only 2 days out of a carto seems crazy.

The answer depends on a lot of factors but how much liquid you vape through the cartomizer is most important, not how long you use it. I usually vape 15-20 ml through a carto before changing it out.

The size of the carto and wattage can be factors. Generally the larger the carto and the cooler it runs the longer it will provide good tasting vapor.

Using a carto tank with a carto will extend carto life. Ideally, the carto filler is always fully saturated when used with a carto tank.

Some heavily flavored juices will decrease the life of a carto.

Differences in carto brand and engineering will affect carto life.

As mentioned earlier, I get 15-20 ml out of a carto run continuously and without a tank. I use Smoktech stainless steel single coil low resistance (LR) cartos in the XL size (9 x 45 mm). I takes me 7-10 days to go though 15-20 ml of juice. I change out the cartos because heated, stale old juice accumulates in the carto not because of coil failure or burned filler.

NET juices can sometimes clog cartos faster. Generally speaking, I use my Boge cartos for 20-25ml of juice. It really depends on the juice though.

My favorite tanks at the moment are pyrex models from Valley View Vapes and Cirrus Vapes. VVV offers a great pyrex glass tank for about $20 with aluminum end caps. I prefer the Triple V model with the fill hole, but that's more expensive.

Never letting a carto burn is essential. If used without a tank they must be kept saturated enough to prevent burning.

Using 3.7 V, semi regulated APV with Smoktech single coil stainless steel LR XL cartos with at least 1.8 ml capacity:

-2.0 ohm carto: never vape past 1/2 of the fluid capacity. Each refilling should be no more than 24 drops. 15-20 drops is what I aim for.

-1.8 ohm carto: runs hotter. Never vape past 2/3 of the fluid capacity. Each refilling should be no more than 15 drops. 8-12 drops is ideal.

Smoktech has a new-ish tank that truly locks in the carto with a retaining ring. The U-DCT, looks sexy...

I'm sure multiple vendors have them for sale; saw them at myvaporstore. 510 U-DCTank Combo

That being said I never really got into cartos, kinda hated um. But yeah when I first started vaping I used a carto for way too long... Remember thinking this taste bad. The next day I had a tightness in my chest; pulled apart the carto and it was burnt.

I use 10/90 Pg/Vg on a daily basis and my cartos last anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. Ive heard that Smokteks have more filler material inside so possibly they wick better than Boges.

Im using 2 hole laser pre-punched XL's in standard sized Pyrex tank cause I like to be able to take the top cap off to refill.

I suspect its the higher voltage more than the juice.

No long stories, just facts...here is 6+ months research:blink: what a great wall of text here...
I've tried ~5 "different" tanks (from the first round of tanks, had your Vivi, CE3,4...jeez..now found the MONEY)

JCJohn23 was on the MONEY, those Artemas tanks are #1.. I now own all 3 colors..

The solution to your (and was mine as well) VG juice/cartomizer problem -> (they just are THE "one stop shop" for low $$) madvapes.com

#1 - Battery - Vision eGO Spinner V.V. Battery - ~$25 .... not only is this a HUGE 1-2 day battery.. You can crank it up to get that Cartomizer EXTRA hot... and you'll need to make sure you have the 420mah USB charger as well... comes in a few colors

#2 - Tank - Buy JUST the Artemas tank TUBE in any of the 3 colors/sizes they have, not the combo tank/cart/tip IF you can wait for them to come back in stock...

#3 - Cartomizer - kit comes w/ a 1.5 OHM single hole... YOU want a 1.5-2ohm dual coil or ~3ohm single coil.... TRIPPLE HOLE cartomizer. (currently out of stock on MV) your still looking at ~20-30 ML absolute max per cartomizer depending on juice before its too gunked up to tank right... ~ a week? for me.. and I have 3  and I change them usually every 11-15 days

#4 - DripTip - Doesn't matter as long as YOU like it and its a 510 size.... I found i like the "Ming dynasty"/ "knucklehead" tips the best...

FINALLY - (necessary accessories).. there kinda are a few especially if you want high VG to go through tiny holes

#5 - AIR FLOW Artemas Cover... something NO ONE talked about yet... they make a cover that helps draw in extra juice into the tank.. The Artemas is sealed and made SO good, it can run a lil tiny bit dry... also eliminates the need for a carto punch tool

Make your life a little easier with each of the tank refills now that you are vaping a TON, and protects the "O-Ring" inside the tank as well... A DCT REFILL driptip/tool

Sorry, I have to suggest you have to invest 50$ for that setup, but it WILL work !

I wish I knew what I know now.. would of had half a dozen of these tanks loaded with different flavors by now...

:matrix: Wow that was a big post.. hope my time spent helps you out!

Interesting how ECF changed my URLs to add affialiate code so they make money off MY hard typing and vaping... Just letting you know it wasnt me trying to make a quick $.

And I can't open it? How the hell do you fill your tank?

Since it's been scratched to .... and looks like a piece of .... now, I'm about an hour away from throwing it out the window due to extreme frustration.
