I have a couple liquids that I really like from a particular vendor. They happen to sell 16oz bottles, if I bought one how long "should" it last? I hear some vendors say their liquid gets better over time, and others say that it expires after a year. Is this an opinion or does something actually happen with the flavor / nicotine in the plastic bottle?

It really depends on the plastic as not all plastics are created equally. Even still, see above for the best option. And as with most consumable products, the expiration date is not set in stone for the true line of do not consume. I've vaped liquids 6 months to a year past the expiration date and it was fine.
I am also interested in this. As a follow up question, where would one get nice blue or brown bottles? Not to hijack the thread from the OP, just wanted get some follow up information.
Ebay, DIY vendors, perfume sites, Alibaba or just bottling companies. Just type in the size you want--like 30 mL or 15 mL--cobalt blue or amber bottles dripper bottles into a search engine. Rinse repeat.
