How long to steep

I just picked up some McCormick's imitation rum extract,while at the food store today. IDK if it'll work, but it's worth a shot, right?

Just following up to see if the imitation rum helped get it to the rum it used to be

Sadly, it was an epic fail I mixed 1/3 extract with 2/3'ds Butter Rum in a 3ml bottle. I thought I may have added too much of the extract, but when I vaped the concoction, I couldn't taste the extract AT ALL

Bummer it didn't work. I think I'm giving up on my last bottle too. Tastes a bit sour to me. Just placed another order for some banana nut bread, pina colada and banana foster! I'll try another bottle of butter rum in a couple weeks.

After my experience with it, i wont be ordering no mo butter rum, others are perfectly fine but naw lol cant try butter rum again

Do you think that maybe this batch didn't have sweetener added to it? No one has mentioned that. Maybe a bit of sweetener would make the difference.
