I'm not sure if Halo has a shelf life but if so, does anyone know how long it is? Also, I have 3 tanks and 2 mini tanks all five of different flavors I switch out and vape depending on my mood for that day, night, hour, minute...how long can Halo juice sit in a tank before it is recommended to dump it? Meaning, can it go "bad" sitting in a tank for too long?

I haven't noticed any of them starting to taste bad, but two of the five tanks I don't use as often and they've been sitting now for several days. I wasn't sure if this is not a good thing to do.

As far as leaving in clearomizers or tanks -- as long as the wicks stay wet, you won't have a problem.

I had one Triton Tank filled with Torque56 sitting on my desk for a few months without issue -- since Cinder got me addicted to nothing but Voodoo and Southern Classic, I didn't care for Torque as strongly :) So it sat, and I vaped it occasionally and it was still it's normal self. I did pick it up and twirl it to re-wet the wicks.

I have tanks that I filled 3 months ago which are still good. Halo juices won't etch or crack their tanks, so I imagine you could have tanks filled for quite a while. When I do use a tank that has been sitting a while, I put it on a VV at 4.8 volts and do a quick fire to clear off any juice which may have dried on the coils.

I've read that freezing &/or refrigerating them will decrease the nicotine level in them. they actually are best kept at room temperature, or so im told.

That's not true. Some of the resident Chemists here on ECF (find them in DIY) have had nic in their freezer for (so far) 3 (or 4) years with no loss in nic levels or quality.

The juice will last years, even if not kept in the freezer. Though freezing helps keep the flavors at their best.

Light and heat may have a detrimental effect, but the experiments have shown that even that is minimal.

I regularly have been vaping juices from 2011 (not my faves so only visit them infrequently).

So, don't be afraid to stock up when a sale comes around!

Should I refrigerate my E-liquid?
No. Halo E-liquid should be kept consistently at room temperature for optimal flavor. The flavoring in cold e-liquid tends to separate from other ingredients, significantly reducing the flavor. In addition, if your e-liquid has been left outside in a cold mailbox during winter months, it is highly recommended that you allow it to sit at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours before vaping. This should be ample time for the flavoring to meld back with other ingredients, allowing for optimal results.

This was taken from Halo's Frequently Asked Questions Section on their Website.

@Esoterica3 - correct! :) and thanks for the post

I need to be a bit guarded in my comments and VERY respectful otherwise I'm going to get into trouble again. :) LOL

The DIY forum on ECF has some VERY VERY knowledgeable members along with a combined experience level in long term storage for decades not to mention juice pulled from the freezer after YEARS of storage. CHEMISTS with a lifetime of experience and outstanding credentials. PERIOD! I've spent a number of hours in this forum learning about the proper long term (multi years) storage of NIC/PG/VG/JUICE in my freezer. The proper procedures are necessary and three years from today I can sell Mike my Tribeca for lots of money /joke

So...AngiBe and others, if you have an interest in long term storage I would respectfully suggest that you drop over to the DIY forum at DIY E-Liquid and ask your storage questions. You may want to request a KIS kinda answer because the finer points can be very geeky :)

My out and about kit consists of 4 triton tanks which I rotate and the yummy Halo ejuice in the tanks is at least 90 days old and is still yummy.

HTH

:)

Neither PG or VG will ever freeze solid. It's been recommended in many places to freeze Nic (and juice) in glass bottles and no one has ever had any probs.

Wouldn't the liquid in a full bottle expand in the freezer and crack, or is there enough alcohol in it to prevent this? I know PG is an anti-freeze, but it only lowers the freezing point, not prevents freezing altogether.
