about 4 to 5 months, I vape about 10/12 ml a day on average.
But it only costs me under $60 to make a gallon.
so around $15 for 4 months...

Ahh the inflamed mouth. Why I started DIY one month after starting vaping.I pay around the same for mine, maybe a little more for flavoring.
So around 35 bucks for 2 years
I think someone needs to take that signature away from you, it's clearly a lie
@Cumulo Vapus; I'm not a tootle puffer actually. I just don't vape all day. Less then one ml with my morning coffee and another one or so in the evening, but I blow through that in just a few hits.
I'd like to vape a little more at least occasionally, but anything over that and my sensitivity for the ingredients starts acting up & I have an inflamed mouth & throat for a couple of days which just isn't worth it.
Still experimenting with a few things to find a way around it though, but I'm not very hopeful to succeed at this point.

It is some of the flavorings for me, or the artificial sweetner.
With the wrong flavorings I am like you with the right ones I can vape all day.
My current ADV is About 5% CAP Vanilla Custard V1
about 1.5% CAP Whipped Vanilla Cream
And 5 drops Stevia for a 120 ml batch.
50/50 PG/VG
3 mg nic.
With me if the vape makes my lips tingly pretty quickly then I throw the flavor out.
Never get vapers tongue with my mixes either.
My theory is that vapers tongue is just a less severe reaction of what the wrong flavorings do to me.
Yeah, I've always wanted to start DIYing but kept postponing it out of pure lazyness, until the problems started when I moved from an Ego to a proper tank and mod and my juice consumption went up accordingly.
But interesting, that's what, less then 7% flavoring including the Stevia?
At first I thought I was just sensitive to PG so I've cut the flavoring down to about 8% now & use pure VG with about 8% distilled water. But I feel I still have too much problems for the amount I vape so I'm kinda starting to doubt that now. So I've just ordered some max PG juice to test that. I might be wrong & it could still be the flavoring but it's the only way to make sure the problem isn't with the VG.
I haven't tried Capella flavoring yet but I did just find a local websop who sells at least some of their flavors. So far I've tried TPA, Flavor Art & Vampire with Flavor Art seeming the smoothest for me. It does seem to vary per flavor as well though. I'll give Capella a try next if it turns out it isn't in the VG though, thanks for the tip![]()
Most of the TPA and INW cause me troubles. CAP and FA treat me the best.
Out of curiosity can you tolerate artificial sweeteners like Aspartame/NutraSweet?
I cannot taste horrible to me.
I use the liquid Stevia from General Nutrition Company.Hate it. It tastes like a rancid kind of bitterness to me.
I don't really like Stevia tablets for tea or coffee neither though, still too much bitterness (albeit not rancid) for my liking. But I do drink a lot of store bought Iced Tea (green iced tea with citrus from Pickwick) that uses Stevia and that tastes perfectly fine to me for some reason.
My DIY is usually between 3-7% flavoring.Had some mouth irritation issues until I went to DIY. I use 1.5% flavoring. Capella cappuccino.
I vape 7 milliliters a day so 1200 milliliters would last me a bit less than 6 months.

There are different varieties of the Stevia plant the rebaudiana type is the best imho.

The mix I posted is pretty much shake and vape. Overnight is better but long steeping does not have much change in that juice.Never thought to look in to it any further but it makes sense that more then one species produce it I guess. Thanks for the link as well!
Wow, didn't think people would go that low on flavor. Do you let it steep longer to get more out of that minor percentage or anything?
Pardon for the thread-hijack by the way OP..![]()
Some flavors will be more concentrated than others. Your taste will adjust to less flavor and after a while commercial pre mix will seem over powering. Try diluting a favorite premix 25/75 and see if it tastes better. If Agony is like me even 1% of certain flavorings causes me grief.
Since we are in the minority this will not even get attention from the FDA.
I buy NO store bought juice. Wasted quite a bit of money on it before I figure out what was going on.
NONE of the vape boards are any help on this.
Even in DIY I toss over half of the flavorings I buy.
I have the bitter gene. Many things that people say are a bit sour are horribly bitter to me. Artificial sweetners. Takes an hour or more to get the taste out of my mouth from one sip of diet soda.
