I recently discovered the joys of sub ohm vaping. I randomly decided to try a twisted coil setup w/ 28 guage kanthal at .8 ohms on a mech(Natural) 4 layers of 2mm silica in an IGO-L. I get it now. I always thought it was pointless to go that low. I was always a 7-8 watt vaper that is until today!
Now that the initial euphoria of the awesome clouds and excellent flavor is wearing off I find myself sitting here wondering exactly how safe this is. I know a big part of how safely you can vape at sub ohms is based on the battery you are using, using a $.02 safety fuse, and if your mod is vented etc.
I thought I'd turn to my fellow ECFers to see how low you guys build your coils and what setup you are using. Also have you ever had any mishaps?
