I've had a few people suggest that I pick up an 510/eGo adapter for my new V3 as a way to protect against thread damage and I was curious as to how many use one.
I am not a chronic tank swapper, switching back and forth between flavors. I'll typically fill 'er up, vape till empty, rinse, repeat. I've always had kid gloves on when threading delicate devices, so I am not too worried about cross threading anything. How likely am I going to see those threads go t's up? And to anyone who has had issues, is it with the 510 or eGo threads (or both). I don't use many 510 devices on at the moment, so if it was just the 510 threads I have to worry about, its not really an issue.
As far as a way to avoid thread damage from a drop.... not sure how an adapter would save me much... if whatever I have is seated on the adapter nice and snug, it would damage the V3 threads the same as if I screwed it directly in the device, but it would be the adapter doing the damage, not the device.
Thoughts?
