Thanx for your response, good to hear that OZ has not (yet ?) banned the sale of nicotine cartridges as has been done in NZ.

If NZ has banned them then it wouldn't be possible to sell them as customs would confiscate them. am i right? this is just an assumption. If they ban the cartridges wouldn't all e-cigs be banned too?

Actually, you are allowed to buy from abroad, a maximum of three months personal supply (so not for selling). AFAIK selling the cartridges containing nicotine within NZ is not allowed at all.

I too have received various packages containing nicotine cartridges without any problems so far (knock wood), but I have a feeling that if one were to source large amounts for sale, they would probably jump right on top of that.

The hardware is a different story however, we currently have 1 supplier (that I know of) selling hardware and non nicotine cartridges within NZ.

It would be great if Velocitygt's website would sell to NZ customers as well, as hopefully the shipping costs would be a bit better than from either China or Europe.

Cheers,
Silver

Best of luck velocitygt.

If you get set up right from the start, I'm sure you'll have a decent future.

The downside is that spearheading for the e-cigarette in Australia could be troublesome and swampy at best, and downright bloody horrific at worst.

No doubt the wowsers will be onto you like a greyhound on a rabbit, until they work out that the e-cigarette actually works. Then it'll be worse.

I'm another fan of the DSE901 too.

I agree Silver . . . I'm trying to get our local supplier to look into a Janty agency (as we discussed), so we'll see how that goes. It would be great to jump in the car and be able to purchase hardware at least. The nicotine is still going to be an issue for us though, unless we can purcahse from Velocitygt's website. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on the site, for sure!

Regarding the Aussies, they're going to get a rugby smashing (again) on Saturday. I enjoy watching that so much, I don't really care about them stealing our musicians and our desserts - the trade-off is well worth it :)

I'm happy to teach you some Aussie-bashing ways if you wish. It's a favourite pastime of mine - :D

Sounds good Coinmaster, it would indeed be excellent to be able to purchase decent hardware on our own shores. That we still need to buy our nic carts/liquid abroad, pity, but we'll learn to live with it I suppose ;).

My apologies btw, for not having responded to your PM yet , been a bit hectic lately...

Obviously I don't feel as strongly on this subject as you do (yet ?), we really should meet up sometime, should be interesting :D...

I got an egar about a week ago. The guy reckons each cartridge is equivalent to a pack of smokes and that the battery will last about a day. He does not sell replacement parts, and there is no reference to a warranty. My experience is that the cartridge is equivalent to a couple of smokes and that the battery lasts about half an hour. YMMV.

nah they had it ages ago, its adelaide you gotta worry about :p

Hey! I was born in Adelaide, and I'm f-f-f-f-fine!

Actually, to put the balance back for the Kiwis, here's an Aussie joke:

Q. What's the difference between Australia and a pot of yoghurt?
A. The pot of yoghurt has a culture.

Don't know any more good Aussie jokes. Did hear a better one once, but promptly forgot it.

Welp, I've been using the egar for a couple of days now. Cartridge and battery both seem to last me about a day. It's hard to say how many smokes worth I'm getting out of the cartridge, as I have no idea how much I'm actually vaping. I think I'm sucking on this thing a lot more than I was smoking, wondering if that will calm down a little once the novelty factor wears off.
