I only use one size of battery. That said, I think more in terms of batteries per person. I have 4.

I think you should check on the recommended charging rates for your batteries, More. I've never done that, cause I don't have a choice.

I wish and strive to have only one size. I have an embarrassing amount of 18650s which is ok with me since I love Woodvils but for my VVWs of course I have more then enough 18350s too.

↑ That is/might be a good idea but i don't know anything about using one. I don't want to get hurt :)

You can buy power inverters that have an enclosed battery. They can be charged when not in use and used to power about anything that you can plug in the outlet. Typically used to jump start car batteries, but there are ones that don't have that connection. Nice to have in a power outage.

Ahh, I see. In that case I'd buy a car/marine battery and one of these :)

Thanks :)

i could use one of these. Where can you find them? I never knew anything like this existed. Google hasn't been helpful.

All i can find is this Power When Away From Home | Using a Power Inverter

and this Inverter_FAQ

Problem is trying to understand it all :(

Amazon has a lot of them. I looked into them when I needed to jump my car battery. I found they are good for running stuff you plug in!

Google portable power supply or pack.

People with CPAP devices sometimes have them. They will let them run the CPAP and sleep during a power outage.

Make sure it can be plugged in to charge. That way you always have it ready.

Thank you so much, Karen. I am going to get one but not sure which one yet.

This is great cause i won't have to ask a neighbor with a car for help. And it can be charged with my own electrical outlet for when i need it. They have so many different ones to choose from. I will post it here before i buy.

Ditto. And ditto thanks to Karen!

i'm also unsure which to buy, since i could use both the jump-start feature AND the AC output.

if i didn't have a car and only needed the AC outlet -- hint to Maggie :) -- i would probably go with this one. after looking at Amazon & Walmart, this seems to be the lowest cost with AC outlet, and returning things to wally is usually easier than amazon, if it's not up to snuff.

Thanks for finding that,I like it and will see if i can get a warranty with it. The reviews are good for it and Walmart has good CS on returning/replacing things.

It is on my list now :)
