of the 8....4 attys and 4 batts, 1 atty was not working properly but not DOA. They said there were high resistance attys floating around and i probably got one.

so i guess no. I have never got a DOA

Well that's good I've heard so many horror stories and I went into vaping "knowing " that atomizers are rarely good or last long it's nice to hear a positive experience. But I guess it's a good thing to be pessimistic about them because that way if I do get a bad batch I won't be too disappointed, cause I've been told they're very finnicky.

In 10 months of vaping we've never received a dead atomizer or battery for RN4081, M401, Joye 510 or Janty eGo styles. And that's a lot of attys and bats. Maybe we're just lucky.

Whoa insane! Have you gotten any attys that malfunctioned? Would you mind PM'ing mw the supplier you use for atomizers?

outta the 100-150 odd attys Ive recieved over the past year (not that I NEED that many, just built up a good stock lol) I have had maybe 5 DOA/severely malfuntioning attys. Ive had about a dozen either die or make me mad to where I no longer use them. Ive had 2 DOA 808 cartos out of a TON, with only 4 ever dying on me.....but I only reuse them about 30 refills n toss em ;)

Ive had nothing but a great experience with hardware fortunately, but I also read up alot so my learning curve wouldnt be that bad too....:D

My mom on the other hand goes thru attys like 1 every week or so....but she isnt a forum member n slightly ADD so she still, after 10 months floods the attys, and hardly notices so tends to vape a flooded/dirty connection, etc. :) ...which will shorten thier life obviously :D

I can't say precisely how many batteries I've bought ... roughly 15? One DOA, merchant gave make good offer. I've had two bad KR808D-1 cartos (out of roughly 70). No DOA 901, 801, or 510s that I know of ... I've got a stock of 5 of each which are as of yet unopen, untested.

wow AMAZING! Either you have extremely good luck or you have extremely good luck LOL! I haven't gotten into cartos - YET, so far I have no interest in them but I'm sure I will get into them eventually, and yeah my friends kill attys like there's no tomorrow. No matter how much I teach them about them they either don't listen or don't remember and end up burning them out from chain vaping on them all day & not lettin them cool down. i dunno about you but when my atomizer gets so hot I can't touch it I leave it alone!

After reading these posts it seems to me that the horror stories must not be as prevalent as most make them to sound. I obviously won't get my hopes up too much though, because I will be really disappointed if I get a bad batch. I'm so glad I have ECF though, because of all of you I started out vaping right with a good supplier (I don't really count my awful Blu experience anymore). I know a lot of others aren't so lucky.

I haven't had any DOAs, but I did have one Joye510 atty go out after a month of vaping. I didn't try the resurrection method here on ECF yet, just threw it in my "to do later" box. I found a good deal a few days ago at $4.50 per atty, so I ordered a few. The co. doesn't warranty the atty, but they do guarantee them to work.

Nah, remember - it is not luck. Complaints are easy, and they are a dime a dozen on the forum. More satisfied customers should speak out to counterbalance the dissatisfied, but that is just not the way it works out. Keep your eyes open, look for the folks that have been around a while, and find out who they use for parts and supplies, and you can't wind up on the wrong side of the law of averages:)

Actually I do chain vape mine and they get hot as tiny 510 volcanoes :D
Doesn't seem to do em much harm.
