Well, it's just like filling a blank cart yourself. I can usually get about 14 drops in one, give or take a drop. Now 1 ml. equals approx. 20 drops. If you hold a dropper at a 45 degree angle you get about 45% less in a drop, so the way you handle it matters. A reg. full flavor tobacco cig. has about 1 mg. of nictotine. So, if you used an e-liquid of 20 mg. strength (that's 20 mg. per ml.), then 1 ml. would equal a pack of cigs, and 1 drop would about equal 1 cigarette. 18 mg. liquid is close enough (that's 18 mg. per ml.). So, a 1 pack a day smoker would use 1 ml. per day, or one 30 ml bottle a month. Dr. E. G.

If only it were so linear...

The lab reports show the uptake to be a fair bit lower than traditional smoking. And in my [limited] experience this week, either bio-availability or simple uptake means I don't feel "satisfied" anywhere near that linear scale.

I just don't think vaping v. smoking works out that way...

Thanks for that info! I find I can get more like 18 drops -- like the refilling movie. And a few more drops using Taryn's (I believe) "spinning" method. I stop vaping a cart at the first hint of nutty "burnt" taste even if the vapor still looks okay.

I've refilled the carts in my original order 3-4 times each, so far. No problems yet. Got some new blanks on the way.

Good to know the nic contents you noted. I haven't read that elsewhere. Sounds right to me.

As for satisfaction, I vape till I'm "satisfied" and really don't think about comparing it to my 2-pack-daily 100mm full-flavor analog habit any more.

(I've been buying analogs from an Indian reservation for $22 / carton. That's $0.40 per day. Vaping's costing me about $0.47 a day. Or one-tenth what smoking used to cost for the same "satisfaction."

It's only been my first month and I'm already wanting to cut down from 36-24mg to 18-12mg. I find I really LIKE to vape but don't need the nicotine so much.

Allow me an attempt at consolidating the above.

Currently the pre-filled carts are .8 ml with plans to up that to 1.0 ml which is about as much as the current carto design will comfortably hold without drowning the carto. As was pointed out, the general rule is 20 drops = 1.0 ml but the size of the drops vary with the dropper used and the angle it's held at along with atmospheric conditions and the consistency of the liquid.

The only way to tell is to see if you can get 100 drops from a 5 ml bottle of juice, or roughly 5 dry carto fills. YMMV

The usage of a carto can vary. From a pack to nearly 2 packs depending on your use so 1.5 packs is an average, (I get nearly 2 myself). This also depends on your nic level.

The nic absorption is different in part because analogs bring with them a lot of carbon monoxide. The CO binds with the nic which also binds with your hemoglobin to deliver more of a given amount of nic to the bloodstream. Other factors are also involved having to do with the other chemicals in an analog that are not present in an e-cig.
