Hmm... Should I take the 16 vs. 24oz glass analogy as a dig saying that I was incorrect?
I suppose I could make a video showing a CoolCart comfortably taking well over 30 drips with a spin, as well as showing that after only 25 drops and a short spin, that the filler material at the mouth end is pretty dry. It's impossible to show in the vid how much juice is present at the other end of the cart. In my experience, once the cart's showing that level of dryness, my vapor production starts to go down and I get much shorter cart life overall.
For the past several months I've been doing what I mentioned earlier and with keeping them properly topped off, I average just over 3 weeks of consistent happy vaping per cart chain-vaping most of the day with 2 rotating flavors. If that's incorrect then I'll happily stay in the wrong. If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right!!!

I use CoolCarts 90% of the time so take that for what it's worth. They are definitely packed tighter than the Wow carts, though I still use the same method with the spin for them as well. I haven't counted drops for them though, as the only Wow carts I have are some pre-filled ones so I couldn't give an accurate assessment of what an empty would do.

Frankly, I don't have much wish to get into a debate on it, but I feel compelled to respond when a later post seems to insinuate that I was incorrect. If folks would like, I can make a vid this afternoon with a fresh empty and we can count the drops on camera. Let me know...

Very informative vid, SnowDragon. Do me a favor and let me know if it was me you were referring to with the 16/24 oz. comment because it's not like there's a huge difference in what we're talking about and frankly, why I keep answering. Tossing in an exaggerated number like you did is dismissive and incorrect, assuming it was directed toward me.

Watching the vid of the fill I noticed a few things: First, you mentioned a CoolCart holding up to 30-32 drops which is in the range I was originally referring to. Second, counting the drops in the vid, you were appeared to be right around 30 drops before the last fill. Since the bottle nipple was in contact with the cart much of the time, the drops weren't exactly drops much of the time.

Is it me, or is this thread going right back into that whole TMI overkill I mentioned earlier?

I stand by my earlier answer. How about the following for those who prefer a more detailed and complete one?

How many drops? It varies a bit depending on your fill method and varies a bit from cart to cart. Several members have reported regularly using 30 or more, while some members get 25 or so. Some people prefer their carts "mostly full" to prevent flooding (If you use auto batts, there could be some validity to being cautious) If you want your cart as fully saturated as it can get and still function properly, then by all means add more and spin until your filling is nice and moist through and through.

Antok sir can only add this, when I drip a blank wow carto get 6-7 drops into them, which is why I made the statement earlier about drop sizes. How hard you squeeze or don't squeeze the bottle has a huge impact on drop size. Snow sir's method shows the best example of how much pressure most use on their bottles seen thus far though... :)

No worries, Morandir835! I was responding to cmdriker's assertion that drop size was completely useless and his other comments about cart sizes the OP didn't ask about, not yours. I agree about Snow's squeeze because mine is pretty much the same, as I would assume most are. I freely admit that I call BS quickly on examples using gross exaggerations when someone's trying to make a point and the 16 oz glass comment appears to have been saying that I was wrong about how much juice goes in my carts. Frankly, I've measured how much my drips are and they come to just over 1.2ml for 35 drops. Not too far out of line with what others are getting, I'm sure. I like a nice, wet cart. They last weeks, and it makes me happy. Since there's variations in drop sizes, fill methods, etc. I would assume that the OP was interested in the results of several people to get an idea of the range of drops they should be expecting. Obviously, there's no one answer that will work for everyone all the time.

As Snow himself said in the vid, he'd prefer a 7/8 fill over chancing flooding the atty, so that's his preference. All I ask is that the slightly higher count I put in mine not be referred to in the same breath as cramming 50% more fluid in a container than it will hold.

Eeks... maybe I'm missing something, (about how many drops to fill a blank carto) but because of my VG intolerance, I've had to buy all PG (hint, hint V4L) from 3 other vendors. Each of the three companies had different bottles, with different sized openings, thus different sized "drops".

Maybe I just like to keep it simple! ;)

Wintering I use juices from multiple vendors...their droppers don't vary by extremes so just like the Refilling Video says, "20 for Wow Cartos...25 Cool Carts" and you will be fine. As was suggested by cmdryker, if really you want simple..buy a 3cc Syringe with a 1.5 inch 18 gauge beveled needle. When I am away from home I Drip Refill, at home I use a syringe to top off and refill.

Hi SnowDragon, and thanks! Hey, how was your trip down to my neck of the woods? You're missing our "interesting" weather today - rain and thunder storms - in June - oh my! :)

Gosh, I'm jealous.... The 3 other vendors (each starting with a "V") that I've purchased my PG juice from - all have different bottles, with different sized openings. (using my best Arte Johnson voice from Laugh In) Interesting!

And, you are correct ... I have been playing with old syringes (from my diabetic pup) so that seems to be a little more exact - over the "drops". :) Oh well..... I'm sure we'll all get this figured out. :)

Thanks for asking Wintering, it was good to see old friends and family. By the time I hit Vacaville on the way down people were cutting each other off, flipping each other off, passing me at 95 mph, it was like returning to paradise. Hit all my favorite restaurants, spent a night in Santa Cruz just chilling at Black's Beach next to a huge bonfire.

A great time but after a week I was eager to get back to Idaho. No litter, little to no crime, good roads and courteous people....indeed a foreign land for a guy born and bred in the bay area. Syringes and needles are easy to get in Idaho....if you need a hook-up just pm me and I will get you all squared away.

thanks for all ur input~ i'll stick to about 20~25 drops per carto without the spinning thing.. too lazy .. that goes for wow/cool carts with a little pressure squeeze per drop fromv4l juice containers
now here are some problems that came up..
(a)how can i stop from flooding my used carts when i refill them?... i still dont know what an empty carto should taste like...(b) what should an empty cart taste like? (c)and what can go wrong if i vape an empty cart for a few days? empty = meaning no morejuice (d) how can i tell if the cart has enough juice

Ciggy - if you aren't going to spin then you may want to let them sit for a while. I used to drip at night for tomorrows vaping. To help prevent flooding use a condom (the little plastic cap they come in) on the battery end and just put in about 5 drops at a time & give it a few minutes before dripping more. I advise against vaping an empty cart on purpose. I accidently did that once & my husband still laughs about the look on my face. The worst taste ever! And the carto was trashed instantly. When vapor production drops then the carto is beginning to empty & you should notice a marshmellow or "off" taste. Once you vape a carto until it's empty you will know when it's burnt!

If you vape a dry cart it has a very distinct taste and smell. For me it kind of tastes like melting rubber, but others have described it as melting plastic or marshmellow. Once that happens don't bother refilling it, just toss it in the trash. In my limited experience the carts tend to burn out all of a sudden, so I don't see how you could go days without knowing it was dry.

Vaping a dry cart for an extended period would likely make you nauseous and possibly ill, but I can't imagine you would want to do that after you get a big hit of burnt cart.

I'm still trying to find that sweet spot where almost all of the juice is gone, but the cart isn't burnt yet. I've noticed that the vape or two before i get the burning rubber taste generally result in very little vapor and flavor. If you inhale from a cart and get diminished vapor and/or flavor my advice would be to stop vaping it immediately if you want to save it for refilling.
