How many drops?

Just got my 510 kit yesterday. The marlboro carts that came with it were meh. I picked up some blue foam today and I'm trying it out right now. Flooded it right off the bat. How many drops should I be putting into the cart? I put ~15 in there and I think I just blew half of it out of the atty.
Put it back together and I'm not getting any vapor.

i put it in till it puddles then use a paperclip down the side to release air pockets.
or i just squeeze the bottle a little while it's upright and suck a little off the top.
allways leave a little room at the top when you trim your filler or when you fill it it will squeeze down into the atty.

I'm very curious to know why a person would buy a new e-cig, and try to modify it straight out of the box, without using it for a while. I've been using the original fiber for almost a year now in all my e-cigs, and have no problems.

You may need to cut your foam a little wider.
If it doesn't compress enough in the cartrige it will tend to let the juice run out instead of holding it.
Try about 1/3rd wider than the cart and if that is still too loose make it a little wider,if it doesn't wick enough a little narrower.

My carts came pre-filled. I figured if I was going to use a different flavored liquid, I might as well replace the filler.

I'll trim it up a bit. I put it in there flush with the rim of the cart.

To the rim is to much. Stop at the little ledges or a drop less.

Well I've run a battery dead trying to get this working and still no go. I've gone back to the original filler and still no luck. The atty seems to be burning okay and I've cleaned it out several times now.

if you put just the atty on the bat and push the switch do you see vapor forming in it?

you know that there is only one way the cart fits on a 510 ? look down in the atty see the oval white part ? that is the way the oval part of the cart goes.

Yup. That's the way I've been doing it.
I'm thinking there might be something with this juice and the not broken in atty maybe? I took another new atty that gave me at least some vapor with a pre-filled cart, put 5 drops into that cart and it stopped working after a couple drags. Let it sit for a few minutes and get a little, then nothing again.

I think your flooding it I had the same issues just a little less juice you'll be fine. keep trying you'll get it

It's certainly not flooding anymore. I seem to have moved onto starving it. Burnt rootbeer float is pretty nasty.

I think it's the juice. I pulled one of the blue foams out, rinsed it off, refilled with some dekang vanilla and it's working fine. I'm not getting the plumes of vapor everyone gets in the videos, but it's better then nothing. I'll try the juice again when I start getting more vapor from one of my attys.
