Has anyone compiled a state by state list of how many employees work in b&m shops, eliquid bottling platnts and mod shops. I think it could have an impact on the public perception of these impending regs if they knew how many more people were going to the unemployment line. Maybe even get congress to overrule the deeming of pvs as a "tabacco product" . Besides it would be kinda cool to know how many people work in this industry. I can only think of about 100 here in my metro area but i probably dont know of all of the smaller places

Nothing will change unless the government knows they'll be able to get their piece of the money. Right now, politicians know that Big tobacco will pay their due. Small mom and pop operations? Not so much. The average vape shop owner couldn't possibly drop millions on campaign donations, but Big Tobacco has and will.

We are ruled by corporations now. This has absolutely nothing to do with our health or safety, and everything to do with who is in the position to pay the most. While the Supreme Court didn't set this into motion, they certainly haven't helped with it.

I cant help but think that its less about money than it is about control. Obviously its not about health or wellness they tried for 7 years to find bad health affects and immoral practices an failed to come up with any, i think they see a multi-million and at this point billion dollar industry that doesnt need or want thier control and think "we can Not let this be. What if the people know they dont need us at all" .
But i do think that if you tell the masses that your company is being shut down due to one ingredient in one type of product that might not even contain it, and you and 30 coworkers are going to be out of work, there would be more understanding of how dumb this is. And it it gets said by 10000 people it would get some notice on a national scale, especially with how much the unemployment rate is on everyone's mind here lately

That would be an interesting statistic to compile. But I think it should also include the places that don't have a B&M presence. A place like Mt. Baker started as a one man operation but it's a lot more than that now with several employees. Johnson Creek has a lot of employees and no storefront. Then there are the places that started as an on-line only presence and now operate both a web site and in some cases multiple stores.

This better not turn out to be another case of small businesses being regulated right out of - business.
