You have to get more vocal in order to say something that can be liked!

I have been in this forum since Sept 2013 and have made exactly 1000 postings as of today
(Oh, I have been vaping and active in the vaping forum in my home country since Nov 2011 - not a vaping noob here )
And I agree with Robino1 - being vocal does help the chance to have your opinion "liked".
Being vocal and outspoken and passing on knowledge and the respective links can also make you enemies. But that is only a side effect

I've never paid attention to the likes but apparently I'm outspoken. haha

For me the most useful features are seeing who else likes a post - this gives me a sense of whether their outlook on things is similar to mine. Ditto the people who like my posts.
By adding them as friends, I can get an idea of what threads I might like to read and/or participate in.
So for me, the "like" feature is a gateway as it were. (If I can use that dreadful expression, despite its despicable associations.)
Ignore me? Ignore you. That's why I turned down your friend request, and all friend requests, because they never amount to a hill of beans on the internet. You are just trying to recruit me for CASAA and I couldn't be bothered with any of that crap. Plenty of friends and loved ones in real life whose Like buttons I push all the time and who mean much more than an avatar on a list. Now you are being sarcastic about it.
