Mg is a weight/mass measurement and Ml is a volume measurement. The reason Mg is listed on eJuice is that helps you to better understand the strength of eJuice compared to an analog cig.
1 full flavor analog cig has approx 1Mg of nic in it, so if you smoked a pack a day you got about 20Mg of nic. A light analog cig has approx .5Mg nic. Tobacco is measured by its mass/weight.
So 18Mg eJuice is really 1.8% by volume nic, as this is a liquid and is measured by volume hence ml.
If you take two 6ml bottles of eJuice, both having a strength of 18Mg nic and mix them together, you do not end up with 12ml of 36Mg strength nic. What you do end up with is 12ml of 18Mg (or 1.8% by volume nic). The concentration of nic stays the same. Now if you mix a weaker strength with a higher strength then the level will end up between the two depending upon the ratio of mix.
So to truely know how much nic you are consuming a day would come down to knowing how much nic is in each vape you inhale and then how much is absorbed vs. exhaled.
A puff on an analog cig is approx 1-2 seconds, and you take about 10-12 puffs per analog.
An average vape is about 5 seconds. How many vapes do you take on an average day is the real question.
I vape 6-9ml of eJuice a day. It is safe to say and a no brainier to know I am consuming way more nic vaping then I did smoking!
It's not a simple calculation of how much juice multiplied by Mg of nicotine to determine this. But on the other hand I like my nic so I am not concerned!
Guess this post shows I should just go to bed as its now 2am!
