I've tried to convert several smokers. I let them hit my KGO and explained it to them in detail but none of them converted. They are dedicate to an expensive and horrible death. It's also funny to note that each one of them that hit the KGO coughed like first time smokers much to my lulz. It's not an easy thing to do. On ECF I have converted like a dozen people and steered them towards the SLB KGO starter kit on DarkCityVapor with my outspoken posts and my in-depth blog. We are all friends now too and correspond regularly.

If you don't want to read my blog but are wondering WHY KGO? The answer is this: It's the cheapest, most powerful (4.1 volts! compared to the 3.7v of an EGO - it can even outperform the popular IMR 18650 battery used in much more expensive PVs and mods) and most versatile (510 connector), and at 1100mah (and you get 2 of them) it lasts me 2-3 days before recharging even one of them. It's the best starter PV on the market at that price range; it's perfect for any beginner no matter how much you used to smoke. Even later on when they move up to a silver bullet, provari, lavatube, or 5v vv box mod it's still a handy thing to have around, or it makes a great hand-me-down. I quit the second I got mine. I love it.

Gonna have to look that up sounds like a neat set up I am on a riva which is great but always willing to check new stuff out

Got my first friend converted yesterday she ordered her dse901 with a few juices I think a few more will follow suit. I just can't believe that more smokers haven't done it yet!

I've had several people try my Ego, but no converts yet. I don't understand, I converted a year ago and don't have any desire for a cigarette.

I have had 3 people asking me to buy kits for them and at least one has stopped smoking analogs.

So, initially it was just a few people who I converted. My mom, and my brother. Now its up to 8. All from work!!

They all took an interest in "what the hell is she smoking" and decided to ask. It was neat to be able to tell them about it, configure a starter kit, and then just email the link to the kit I configured for them. They're all pretty darn happy.. and so am I.. now I have "real life" friends to vape with!

Never force sumone to try, ask if they want but never push them. Also if you want to convince sumone .. be ready to have a nice juice at hand.

103 at last count through diff orgs I'm active within. Easily enough done as they all really wanted to quit and a definite factor was the age- most in their 50's- 60's and health was a major concern.

I've successfully converted:
My brother (who has since quit everything, very proud of him), 7 colleagues who are still using their 808 kits, my wife (who has also quit since she got pregnant), 2 friends, and 2 of my friends' moms

I was a big smoker, and everyone knew how much I loved to smoke so they all figured if I could do it then so could they.

Totally agree that you shouldn't push, but sometimes a "nudge" works well

Well, most of my friends are non smokers to begin with, but i have managed to convert one other person. He smoked Black and Milds when he drank, which was a good 5+ times a week. When I got my Ego-T, I gave him my 510 setup. Happily vaping since.

None so far. One of my friends can't afford (or has no motivation) to stop buying analogs while waiting for a potential big starting investment.

About 10 directly and many more indirectly. I have found I have better luck with the "hardcore" smokers than with the 1/2 pack a day people.
