Converted several hundred via online forums. Started off with an eBay UK group "all about E-cigarettes" coming up to 4 years ago, before they banned the sale of e-cigs. When they banned them I was told to remove all links to e-cigs in the group, so moved it to a proboard. Ever since buying my first e-cig, I've wanted to let as many folks know all about them as possible.

In real life, I've recently converted some neighbours & quite a few friends & friends of friends :)

I'm actually not trying to convert anyone, actively. If they see me vaping and then have questions I will answer the best I can and then direct them here. I really don't want to be the 20 year smoker who turned against it and is now telling others what they should be doing. Instead, I'm trying to be diligent with my transition from cigs and I'm finding my friend and former co-smokers to be very supportive. The natural curiosity they have with my new device opens the discussion about the whys and hows, but I still do not tell them "they should do it". I merely tell them my reasons, and my initial feelings and thoughts about it and how it is working for me. I'll let them make the decision whether or not they would like to try and convert, and not push them into a direction. I know that when I'm pushed a certain way, there is a natural push back to not want to do it.

Just my :2c:

:)

I don't actively push either. When people see it and ask, I explain it, tell them it worked for me, and (if they ask) give them a card from my preferred vendor with the url of this site written on it. If they do it, great. I had a deal with one coworker who wanted my setup that if he didn't like it, I would buy the hardware off him and he stuck with it.

A few so far, one of my buddies ( about 23 now) his mom never knew he smoked so it was hard for him to hide it, got him sold after day one on the idea and he has been a happy vaper since sometime last year. Got a cashier at a gas station close to me started on a Joye 510 and she has been doing that for about 4 months strong, and 2 more coworkers so far!

Don't get me wrong I have not pushed this on anyone the curiosity of it as you say opens the discussion if they then ask to try it that's ok too but my point is that we are spreading the word and that's got to be a good thing right?

I really wish more UK e-cig users would still post here. ECF actally started off as a UK forum as the founder, Smokey Joe is in the UK :)

I just saw that on the UK forum I have also said hello on there and also just placed an order with paradise vapes on your recommendation just got an Order from totally wicked today but so far not impressed with flavours i have tried so far or the price so the lucky dip option with paradise vapes is excellent for a newbie and they are cheap. People like you are why I joined this forum and you are also a cat lover too which rocks :)
