With what you have, you should be able to find close to your ideal vape. It's more a matter of tweaking the juice, power, wicking and wire. I have a bunch of different mechs and atties but I found how I like them set up a over two years ago. They are essentially all vaping the same so I can grab any one of them and get the vape I want.

What is it you are looking for in a vape that those aren't providing?

I've got a whole bunch of stuff. But going by how many setups, for daily use probably 3 mods and 3-5 tanks, rotating through different flavors. For total number of mods and tanks? Way too many, but still feels like not enough. That has been getting better know as the shinyitis med is finally kicking in.

Currently have:

Four Able clones with RDAs for dripping, two Reo Grands with O-Little clones, a brass Coppervape mod with a Wasp Nano, an aluminum Coppervape with a Hadaly, and a Boxer squonk clone with a Pulse 22 RDA. I also have a Veco One and three Myjets in the rotation. The squonkers get the most use, but the tube mechs with drippers also get used daily. The Boxer is in my car, and the pod mods get occasional short-trip use.

Also have a Hexohm with a CoilArt Mage dripper on my bench used for fogging up my work room.

So - Fourteen?

I have more in reserve, but currently using those mentioned above.

Reading through the posts got me to thinking about how much my vaping changed since I started. I just couldn't see having tanks taking different coils, how would I keep track of which coil went in which tank? I was thrilled when I went from my Kanger T3d tanks to the larger Aerotank Mega that used the same coil. But they didn't go well on the little VV pen, forcing me into my first box, an MVP2.

Now, some 3 years later, I choose between 13 mods and 22 tanks/RTA's/RDA's depending on what strikes my fancy at the moment. It may be an Atlantis tank at 32 watts, a TFV8 at 130 watts, or something in between. Some juices just seem better in certain atties, some atties just seem to vape better on certain mods, and sometimes it just feels right to match everything up. And yes, there is a spreadsheet to keep everything straight.

As of yesterday, I'm running my usual Octopus but now have The Entheon atop. Hadaly gets a vacation while I dial his cousin in.

As of this morning I've successfully PIF'd a gold Minikin V2, and got an enthusiast into squonking with (I think) a nice price on my just-broken-in Therion BF. Still shelved are my two old and beloved mechs, and a small handful of RDAs and an RTA, none of which will see use by me again.

Thinning the herd nicely and looking forward to - *GASP!* - having nothing but one mod. I'll be pleased once I'm down to just the Entheon and Hadaly as well. I hate having unused stuff around.

No backup probably sounds a bit nuts, but such are the pleasures of mechs sometimes... and in fairness I'm actively working on landing a nice upgrade over to a hand built Octopus. Shinyitis is still an incurable affliction, I'm afraid. ;)

How many set ups is everyone using? I'm trying to find my perfect vape to keep off the cigs. I've got a mini volt w/nautilus 2, istick w/ego 1 mega and osub80 w/ nautilus x. Still looking...
I have a nautilus 2 i used on an istick 20w. The nautilus 2 always clogs on filling. And after a month, it leaks too.

I wanted just a little more airflow and vapor than what my Nauty 2 was giving. The X with .6 coil and 4ml extension is about perfect. My baby beast had way too much airflow for me, so its sitting in my box of supplies. I do have asthma and probably some copd, so thats probably why I cant handle the beast :/

My nautiluses are still going strong and not clogging or leaking after 100 or so days.... I use max VG, too.

Letting them sit a long time with e-liquid in them, not the best idea though. That can get things clogged a bit...

Anna

Max VG with a Nauti coil? I'm impressed. I'm still a fan of Nauti stuff despite rarely going the mtl route any more, but that's quite a feat for them to achieve. That cotton wicking in those coils is pretty tight, and handling max VG is pretty damn good wicking.

My little secret with wicking is to continue pulling on the vape even after I stop the fire button, for a couple of seconds. For me, it seems to pull liquid consistently up into the chamber for my next draw. I don't get dry hits that way, even when I'm chainvaping.

Kinda got into the habit of doing it so it feels natural, but after experiencing a dry hit or two, it seemed like an idea that might work (since pulling into the chamber to prime the coil without firing is one way to prime it, so figured it might stay primed that way. It does.)
