a 510 blank cartridge before you should use a new one? And can you replace the polyfill and keep on using it or does the end with the baffles that keep you from directly sucking out the raw juice go bad over time?
Thanks all in advance.

Trial and error on the filler. You can wash it out - I soak it in 151 clear vodka overnight and then press it (thumb on paper towel) dry. Some flavors are strong enough to through the actual cartridge in as well. Continue to do that until the filler simply gets to ratty to fluff up anymore.
And yes, you can replace it with some other filler. See the last part of the post by Hellen on this thread:

The cartridge itself should go for quite a while unless as some do - you are getting burning on the top walls (closest to the atomizer). One way to avoid this is to make sure that the bridge is centered in the atomizer well. The bridge being the metal mesh covered nubbin' that sticks up a bit. Take a round toothpick and nudge that into the center if it's leaning one way or another - careful - you just want to nudge it.

The other rather new development that can affect cart walls is the Low Resistance atomizer that burns hotter than the regular atomizers. If you're using them, then you have to keep everything wet - the bridge and cartridge filler otherwise you can burn out the atomizer and melt the cartridge walls. At this point though you only need to concern yourself with the first two points - the filler and the cartridge.
