How many times did you drop your Vamo?

While I am not a butterfingers type person, I just knocked my Vamo off a 31/2 ft table onto a hardwood floor for the 7th time Arrrg. So, how many times & from what height (damage)have you dropped yours? Mine is damage free.

There was another thread here somewhere, where a guy dropped his out of his pocket while he was up on a ladder. It sort of came apart, but he put it back together and says it works fine, lol. That's pretty impressive.

ive never dropped it from and height but Ive knocked it over twice in the last hour I've been at work. Ive knocked it over a couple dozen times in the month I've had it and nothing has happened thus far.

I've never ONCE dropped my other PVs but for some reason I've dropped my dang Vamo like 5+ times. Once at 5-6 feet on solid concrete and not even a scratch ....

That guy was me..10 ft drop came apart but once put back togher it is still working...I tend to put my PV on my lap when I drive...and then when I get out of the van forget its there...I figure a few more weeks and my vamo will have brain danmage.

I dropped mine yesterday onto concrete and it landed perfectly upright. My vamo proceeds to fly into 3 pieces... put it back together and it worked... I'll admit I was scared for a moment there....

I haven't dropped my vamo....yet but I've banged it on my wooden desk a few times. A couple of times were pretty hard that I chipped the desk. My vamo has no signs of damage. I would knock on wood but like I said I've done that several times with my Vamo already.

I dropped my Vamo coupled with Aga-T on tiled floor, Vamo fine, Aga fine, floor not so fine- suffered a rather nasty hairline crack.
Bad Vamo!

I dropped my chrome Vamo out of my shirt pocket onto the concrete floor at work the other day. The Vamo is fine, not a scratch, but my Kanger T3 ended up in pieces and my 510-eGo adapter got hosed as well.

Luckily I had back-ups with me, so everything was fine.

I have dropped it twice, once I knocked it off of my desk, it landed directly on the drip tip and snapped it off, the vamo was fine. And once while getting out of my car. It landed directly on it's side and luckily the thin layer of snow prevented any scratches. Overall, this has proven to be far more durable than my ego's. 3 days before I bought my vamo, I snapped one of my ego's in half.

Just looking at the avatars in this thread, I can't honestly imagine any one of them using a Lanyard, hehe.
Nah, I'd rather stick to damaging floors than wearing a Lanyard, besides considering the Vamo's weight one would probably have to grow a Neck the size of Mr T's just to carry it around

I haven't actually dropped mine but getting out of the truck Thursday I stepped on a small patch of ice,hands and legs flying in 4 different directions..... mus-ta looked hilarious....landed on left knee and left fist holding my vamo (that was only 6 hrs old) my glass tip went one way the tank broke at the bottom treads and bent the center post,vamo base came off and both batteries came out and broke my wrist.
surprisingly the tip wasn't damaged and after finding everything and putting back together it still works =)

Tumblewwed65 - I'm so sorry to hear that you broke your wrist. That sounds like one very wicked fall! Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.

I keep a couple sets of those rubber pull-on cleats with metal studs on them in the car during winter. They do make navigating icy parking lots a lot easier.

I was getting into my truck and dropped mine right on it's end cap. 'Bout a 6 foot fall. It put a ding in the cap and a few scratches. The Vamo started acting a bit spastic after that, intermittently shutting down whenever it felt like it, so I unscrewed the end cap and stretched the spring back out. Vamo's back to normal now.

That's the only time I've ever dropped it. Now if this were a discussion about how many times it's been knocked over...

LOL That is funny and oh so true. Even at the bottom of a bag it's a weapon just waiting to be swung.

Dropped it! Dropped it with the bottom cap off and bent the threads. Dropped it, bent it in the middle, pushed it back. Dropped it, now the shape of a Banana and the middle wobbles........a bit.
Still works, just a bit on the piss.

SS GGTS has been dropped more time than I can remember, that has cracked one of my floor tiles............
