Who cares how high you can go with the wattage! Where does it taste the best?!?
I could hug you!!! :D
I often find myself wondering why people are gaga over wattage- I adjust to taste no matter what type of build I'm using & the builds vary from device to device.

What is you heat flux baseline/preference? I think I want mine to be much much warmer than whatever mine is now. I do use that site and can still count on two hands regarding how many successful coils I have been able to walk away able to be vaped on. I had to get one of those coil master winder things to assist me and let me know the ID to better use that site.

I'm more into Flavor than Massive Clouds.

For me, a Single 3.5mm diam 1.1 Ohms Coil made from 28ga NiChrome 80 @ 12 ~ 15 Watts works Best for my 25%PG:75VG e-liquids

So my Heat Flux is about 146 ~ 182

look at the colored flame icon

it goes green around 200 heat flux
blue is cold and red is hot

====edit====
100 or less would be cold
400 or more would be hot

you'll need to wrap your 28 gauge for about a 1.3 ohm coil; basically you are making too much coil for the mod you have.

I admit I was very sheltered with vaping using only throw away atomizer heads in a protank 2 and being trapped in a 8-10 watt range. Anymore would equal dry burnt hits and the coil would be ruined. Now that I have a Lemo tank where I can build coils to match my preference. I guess I'm still nervous going above 10 watts. My reason for this thread was simply to get the reassurance that now I'm rebuilding and able to use significantly more wicking material compared with a stock kanger coil, that I could experiment more and get the best flavor, and that may mean cranking the heat/wattage. I'm waiting for a 80 watt Smok to arrive and want to learn more of the basics or science and get input before I just blindly crank up heat and see what happens.

I think it is Kinda a Hold-Over from a time when then wasn't so much Ability to change things.

If I'm using a Carto or Clearo, the Only thing I can change is the Volts. So people used to Rate the way they vaped by the amount of Volts they used. The VW hit the Scene and People switched to saying how Many Watts they were Using. It just kinda stuck.

When someone tells me I vape at ____ Watts, it Really Doesn't Tell Me Anything. Because I don't know what type of Build they are using. Or the Amount of Air Flow they have.

Heat Flux to me is a Much Better way to Quantify what is going on at the Coil.

Try Entering in the Build I described in Post #22. Both the 146 and 182 are in the Green.

No Worries. You will find what Works best for You. Just don't get too Hung Up on the Watts.

I can make a 1.1 Ohm Build that is Smoking Hot at 10 Watts using Very Thin Wire like 36ga. Or one that is Very Cool at 30 Watts using a Thick Wire like 24ga.

Firstly it's all a dark art. To use more power you need the wicking and liquid flow to support it.

I just built a 0.8 ohm coil from three twisted strands of 30ga on a 3.0mm former. It was a dog. Even at 20W it took forever to heat up and then it tended to run too hot. I backed off to two strands and that is fairly usable at 17W. It's still a little slow but it produces more and creamier vapour than the single strand on 2.5mm did at 12W. I think if I can get the wicking right then I can run it on a little more power and have an even better vape. But it certainly drinks the liquid much faster than the 12W coil. I think my sweet spot might be around 15W, maybe with two strands of 32ga on 3mm.
