How many years have you liked e-cigarettes?

e-cigarettes... I know the term. And even though I already have some proper gear for DTL and MTL vaping, cig-a-likes still interest me. And that's the first image that pops up in mind when I hear the term 'e-cigarettes'. I can't tell when I did stop smoking. I may have another stick later or tomorrow, who knows? But I liked vaping more than 3 years now.
The major limit on cigalikes is battery energy density and juice capacity. Both have been improving. Many pod mods are remixed cigalikes in funky plastic shells

Quit the stinkys Oct, 2009. Started with a leaky Ego cigalike. Took about 4 months before the smell of cigs started to disgust me. I stand cigs now. When a smoker walks by it makes me sick to my stomach.
EGO != cigalikes. They were more like cigars. They beat the snot out of cigalikes. Helps with my dates though. If egos were out in 2009 I’m pre 2009 by a year or more.

My second vape the EGO-T came out in 2010. I remember well because I had one leak in a board meeting and had to throw out a $400 suit jacket, the smell would not go away.

OK, they weren’t totally unlike cigalike then, LOL. The early cigalikes didn’t really leak much because the entire tank was filled with fiber fluff. A wick five times the size of the vape chamber, basically.

I quit smoking in March 2013, had never heard of this thing called vaping. I first found out about vaping shortly after from a TV commercial about 'Blu E-Cigs', then found and lurked on ECF for 2-3 weeks before signing up in April. My first gear was Halo G6 with mini tanks... fine for a tootlepuffer maybe, but not worth a damn for a lung hitter like me. So I soon dove into 18XXX batt mech tube mods, doing my own builds and making my own DIY joose. My 'path' has been a never ending progressive one ever since that probably won't die until I do.

That's been my concern and so the reason I never owned one. I like the idea of holding the thing like a normal cigarette, that's why I have no interest in pod systems, only in cigalikes. But anyways, I think I may be able to quit that idea pretty soon. I'm happy and very satisfied with my current gear.

The vladdin is basically a cigalike with flanges on the side. You can hold it with your mouth if your lips are strong. Also it’s an automatic. I had terrible problems with the replacement pods for it but it sounds like that wasn’t a universal issue.

That was what I though when I first started vaping. I saw those big tube mods (Lava Tube and DCT tank) and was like "I'm not carrying that huge thing around.". Then after vaping for a while, talking with others and trying out the "mods" I found that they give a much better vape. This was all back in the DCT/carto days. But still I will pick a good tank and mod over any cigalike/pod system every time. Love my Flint but it just can't compare to my Kayfun/Paranormal or even Zenith/Aegis setups.

I started vaping about 6 years ago but didn’t like it. E-cigarettes were really not good at the time and could not replace a real cigarette (when addicted). So I gave up. And in the end of 2017 I decided to give it a shot again. The vape world had changed so much. I quickly bought myself a box and a Zenith tank and then I knew this ... would be enough to keep me away from cigarettes. Couldn’t be happier
