I've already done the math, and posted it another thread, but here it is. Of course your milage will vary. Also keep in mind, most of us tend to vape more than we smoked. I sometimes did double drags on analogs, I triple drag or more when vaping. And of course I vape far more frequently than I smoked (half pack/day). And the higher the voltage of your PV, the faster you will go through it.

2 drops = (.5ml) 1 cigarette (regular) or 10-15 puffs (again depends on how you drag)
1ml juice = 20 drops or 10 cigarettes.
10ml bottle = 100 cigaretts, or 5 packs.
20ml bottle = 1 carton

And

1 510 cart holds about 15-18 drops, IF you get to vape all the drops, most times you'll have to top it off.
1 510 cartomizer (atty and cart combo) holds 25-30 drops (again, depends of if you vape it dry or top it off)

I'd say go get yourself some 510 cartos from LiquidXpress and then budget your juice on a 20ml bottle (1 carton)

Hope this helps

Edit: Also the higher the nic level, the less you feel the need to hit it as often, IMHO. AND you can always cut down higher level nic to stretch it out.

I'm gonna use the cartos just for ease of math as an example...
They hold 1ml...the average pack a day user uses 2 cartos a day so roughly 2ml..
so 2 ml=1pack...or 20 ml=1 carton..this is assuming a standard stock battery with carts or cartos...not dripping or HV mods..
I would adjust for a fudge factor in a difference of nic absorption rates between vaping and smoking a reg cig... (I for one vape a bit more frequently than I smoked)...and for the wicking efficiency of your carts, or a bit more usage if you're dripping..and probably figure closer to 25ish ml being closer to the equivalent of a carton..

I knew I could count on you guys for help. I think I will start with ordering 3 of my fave flavors in the 15ml size bottles. This should give me enough to figure out my usuage and enough so I don't run out before I get more in. I'm awaiting my new 510. It should be here today. Although I didn't order any juice since I didn't realize how quick the juice burns in the cartridges. I will have to supplement from the kiosk until I get my juice in that I'm getting ready to order. I still have analogs but once I get the hang of vapeing I will be completely off of them :)

Thanks for all your help

check into cart mods too...that'll really help...the stock polyfil in them really wicks kinda poorly and you'll end up using more juice..a more efficently wicking material will keep you from topping off as often and from fiddling as often thereby cutting down your juice use a bit..something like PTB or Blue foam (BFD or other)

For starters, you could simply try the straw mod with the filling that is already in the carts; it's quick and easy. And then replace the filling with white Fluval once in a while.

If you are not satisfied, check out the other cart mods, but this is my favourite - works, easy to make, cheap, and you can easily refill on the go from the dropper bottle.

When you start to experiment with the cart mods, you're gonna watch your juice usage shoot way up. Practically every early attempt at modding the carts resulted in flooding and leaking. Whyfor and howcum a first-try mod dumps your cart all over your hands?
I've probably leaked away 40ml of juice this past month getting the straw the right length,
packing the proper amount of PTB, or fiddling with just the right density of blue foam.
It got to the point where I really needed a cigarette! :D

I too have recently started vaping with a &-11 cheapo, it totally sucked but was enough to get my attention and buy a 510 manual, I also bought some pre-filled carts with the 510 from Cignot (awesome customer service and turn around). I have only used a couple of the carts before I went with the Pyramid Tea bag mod. And I am very impressed. I am now a fan of the PTB/straw mod or easy PTB whatever its called. was simple to do, got it right the first time (no flooding/leaking) and so far it seems to use just about all the juice on the couple times i tried to let it go without top off. Highly recommended

Using the ZFM plugs with the "H"" cut from Scottieballs, the straw inside is .645" long.
Yeah, I know. You can't measure something that precisely with a plastic ruler, right? I have a dial caliper from my tool & die making days, so that made it easier. In the fractional world, that'd be about 41/64" (I can see your eyes glazing over from here), or 16.4mm. Let's just say it's a "little bit" over 5/8"
Oh - and thanks for reminding me to actually measure those straws. After so many trial and errors (mostly errors) I hit on the correct length, but, at the time, I just didn't want to pull the straw out of the cart ONE MORE TIME and get my hands all gooked up again.
:D

The carts probably dont even equal TWO cigs let alone a pack - no clue why they insist on saying that - its complete BS.
There IS no defintive answer - I can guess but you can probably guess as well as I can lol
I have no idea how much nic I got from one CIG never mind one cart - and I drip now so taht complicates things too. Rememebr in a cig there is not jsut nicotine - tehre are 4 thousand other chemicals - all together that equals one cig.
One cart contains some nic some flavoring and a carrier medium (PG or VG) - I doubt one cart even comes close to 'a cig' in terms of chemical composition.
Personally I wouldn't waste time worrying over it - its comparing apples to oranges.

I think the problem here is that sellers and manufacturers are not talking about liquid consumption, rather puffs. I don't endorse the mall kiosks or misleading people for pure sales.. But I have actually compared with some coworkers and based on the amount of puffs taken, per cartomizer I use compared to a regular cig x 20. The cartomizer equals a pack of cigs is actually close depending on cartomizer brand and vaping habits. The puffs vs liquid use is also apples to oranges too.
