This is a thread to see how much the E cig has benefited everyone...

For me, i can smell again and feel generally fresher and cleaner. My skin has been a bit worse than usual, i dunno if that is down to e cigs. but anyway, lets try and find some common links!

please list the effects e smoking has had on you..

Two weeks here, "smoke" free. I can breathe better. No aching chest feeling. Taste and smell have improved. How I actually SMELL has improved :D, clothes don't reak. My wife can breathe better. I can sleep better at night. I don't have to keep running to the store for cigarettes (although I do keep ordering stuff online for my new habit/hobby). The way I look at it, it's worth the money for the health benefits alone. E-smoking is somewhat of a hassle because stuff breaks down - but it has many more positive points than negatives for me so far.

About six weeks, first two alternating with real cigs, but no tobacco for a month or so. I don't notice any difference in healing of cuts, I'm diabetic so I'm always puncturing myself to test my blood and so far I've not noticed any difference.

I have had a couple of headaches, but when I look at the amount I'd just vaped, it's not surprising.

how long you been on ecigs Pete?
I saw a thread earlier with Kate stating small cuts dont heal as quickly, might be nothing to do with these, but now Freddo is mentioning skin complaints, again this could be nothing
I work with glass all day everyday and get cuts by the bucket load:(

I've had a minor outbreak of spots, don't know if it's related, just seems funny to have spots (Achne, Zits or whatever you want to call them) after all these years.

I think this may be to do with stopping smoking rather than the e-cigs themselves. I've managed to stop twice in the past both times for three months. On each occasion I had spots, mouth ulcers and a general under the weather feel for the first few weeks. So it could be something to do with all the crap your body is trying to shift out of your system.

I'm 3 days in to this now and so far no spots this time round. It has been the first time in years that I haven't heard my chest rattling when I got in to bed though. Result!

Rochdale...sadly.
Had headaches, but have overdosed on nic loads of times, its a daily occurence really, getting slight spots appear around my mouth, and occasionally the vapour hurts going down, where I have to cough, not the throat hit, just the impact on my lungs.

However, I am still smoking the odd roll up here and there so am not exclusively on e-cigs, but I have maybe 5-10 roll ups a day now thus far and for me, that is as good as stopped.

I have asthma, and have pretty horrendous breathing problems which always tend to clear up after stopping smoking, I use my inhalor a good few times a day but since ive been on the e cigs and have cut down on the fags I have noticed that thus far my breathing is getting better... slowly, although I do go through some pretty bad coughing fits, not sure if its the vape showing itself to be problematic with me or if its just my lungs trying to clear the old effects of the smoking since ive cut down drastically now?

basically, once I go ... free within 14 days I am usually down to using my inhalor once every 3 days so we will see what difference exclusive e smoking makes.

I know for a fact though, ive increased my nic addiction, which I am not too worried about at this moment in time as its early doors, but am looking to come off e smoking too in the future... but one step at a time lol

seems to be a lot of people experiencing the spot problem.

I am wondering, aside from the other myriad of possibilities it could be, wether there is some kind of plastic / glue like component we are inhaling that is causing this... evidence, if you can call it that is that glue sniffers develop spots around their mouth too.

dead scientific eh lol :p

Seems as though spots seem to be a side effect for some people, ME TOO !
30 years old and going through puberty again , GREAT . I must admit i have increased my consumption of rollies to about 5 a day now from just 1 in a morning and that has helped the spots but the whole idea of these for me was to quit.
The liquid in the carts is pretty oily and i was thinking transfer from hands to face might be the problem or even just vapin too much and coming back through the pores.

The only other side effect for me is my appetite is now MASSIVE ! , probably cuz i can taste again. When i get home from work i could eat a scabby dog so i usually just go and get a kebab.

But overall im pleased with my health getting better, i can now go bike riding with the kids and its not a coughing, spluttering, wheezing, torturous journey.

The spots are not around the mouth, the worst one yet is dead centre of the forehead, looks like I'm growing a third eye, lol
