Just starting out, so the outlay is a bit steep (also bought starter kit and accessories for the wife).

Now, wife is settled in to default atty and juice, whereas I'm buying multiple cartos, juice, 1300 mah batteries, etc! I'm totally stoked on vaping, and haven't thought about the analogs, which I guess is the main reason I picked up my eGo-T. The wife keeps asking "what did you buy today?".

I justify it by telling her the attys are not "buy once - use forever", but are disposable, and need replacement. I also tell her I'm trying to find that sweet spot, and once found, everything should settle down. She laughs when I lurk for the postman.

So far, I've spent about $400, but have been doing this for a couple of weeks.

I've been through my "mod days" and have settled down now. From now forward I will probably spend about $60 a month for cartos and juice. I have a ton of atties, cartos, batteries and mods. I used to spend about $250 - $400 a month on cigarettes. Now I'm all set for quite some time. I've figured out that by the end of July I will finally break even, from then on it should be clear sailing!

I think it's kind of a hobby of sorts.Collecting mods, trading juices, hanging out on the forum. It's easy to get caught up in it especially juices. It's easy to spend lots of money.
It's hard for me to fathom folks spending 2K a year or more .. one of the reasons I went to the e-cig was saving some cash ..

My answer would vary WILDLY depending on which time frame I used for my calculations.

Taking an average from 2010 would make the highest group in the poll look downright thrifty.
A 545 day average (my entire vaping career) it's still off the scale. But, it's coming down. :)
If I use figures from only the first six months of 2011, I do better ... in the $1,000-$2,000 per year group.
My average is decreasing fairly steadily. So far in 2011 I've got several periods of a month or more with nothing spent.
But, the Eclipse will create a temporary uptick in the graph.

Saving money isn't a factor (the hope of extending my life IS). But, my initial insane spending is long over ... a good thing since I'm not made out of money, LOL. But even with the crazy spending frenzy in the calculations, I still come out spending 10% less than cigarettes at retail pricing would've cost me in the past 18 months.
And ... my lung function has improved dramatically ... priceless. That's what it's all about, for me.

I wish I could answer this poll, but I really can't...

I spent a LOT of money when I first started because I was afraid of bans and stocked up.
And later I spent a fair amount of money to buy two Chucks as upgrades.
And later I spent a litte more money to buy a Bartleby to be used in certain situations.
And later I spent a little more money to buy a Reo Mini to replace the Bartleby.

And then recently I spent a little more money to buy another Chuck because I just wanted to.

So in the first 3 months I spent a lot of money
In the couple of months I spent some more money for upgrades.
In the next 18 months I spent some more money to fill an occasional need for something less cumbersome.

I have so many spares parts that I have had no maintenance costs at all for well over a year and a half.
And my ongoing juice costs are probably about $20-$25 per month.
