I spent over 3k my first few months to a year, trying every mod and juice out there. I sold off all the mods that didn't fully satisfy me and I recouped 75%-80% of those funds I spent on mods (Provari, Helix, etc). I only own 1 PV as of today and that pv is a Megalodon. I keep 4 IMR 18650's, 6 IMR 18350's, and 6 3v 123a's. Other than that I have a main juice that satisfies the majority of my vaping and my vaping budget and I keep an assortment of my favorite flavors from different vendors.

After trying all the atomizers out there, Ive settle on a few brands that have longevity and fit my personal criteria for a solid vape. cisco 306, HH357, LR SLB 901. atomizers last me months.

With that said, I spend about 1.50 a day on average after my starting months and I'm 100% satisfied with my daily vape.

I never really used any of my VV mods that much. I prefer LR and the very few times that I use a 1.5ohm DCC, 2 3v batteries in series is perfect for that scenario.

I know many folks are in this to save money. Others tend to buy expensive mods like they are going out of style. How much do you spend?

I'd like to preface this rant with I LOVE VAPING. I've quit analogs and will never pick them up again. Now then, the idea or goal is to save money (at least compared to puffing on analogs); however, when you're in it for less than a month the only way I can explain it is: epic fail. First you start spending about $40 on the gas station crap. Second, on a trip to the mall you find something that ("is far more superior" atleast that's what your wife (who by the way, if hadn't made eye-contact with that guy from the mall kiosk in the first place you most likely wouldn't have gotten yourself into the whole mess anyway) you drop another ruffly $100. Thirdly you go online and find that the ego-t might be the way to go since there's no dripping and you read a LOT of really good reviews. Then you review the best e-liquid: $200 later you have all the flavors you (and my wife) could ever want and a few more. Now to the present: I NEED mods. The Provari, the Silver bullet, the D-Cup, etc... the list goes on and on. Now I've found this forum and for those of you that presumably have made it this far in my rant. Where the hell do I go from here? I think I'd like a juice feeding mod. Less hassle and more vaping pleasure but I'm not sure. VV or not? Long story short....I want to spend less that $200 on a mod or something that will last me a while and I'll be happy with. Suggestions, comments, questions?

I don't want to hijack this thread (even if it is old and not very used.) And there's a whole section devoted to Mod reviews:
E-Cigarette Mods Reviews

You need to figure out what you want:
3.7, 5, 6 volt or variable voltage?
Box mod or tube?
Bottom button, side button or top button?
Bottom fed or regular?

Then head on over and start asking questions.

I have a Little Chuck, regular Chuck (Thag Built / The Chuck)
and a MBM (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...forum/183126-deejstuff-here-part-two-208.html). I love all three of them.

Here's the cheapest and most trouble free way I know of to vape.Get a mad vapes vv box(35$)or a vv power/lava tube(about 50$).Put a genesis tank atty on it.(about 70$).The only thing you'll need after that is battery(about i or 2 a year)and your favorite juice. You can get free I gallon samples of VG from proctor-gamble.I use it to cut my 36mg juice to about 24mg.If you don't want vv and are handy, you can build a box mod yourself for about 10$ and it will work as well as anything you can buy and takes about 45min.to make.
That's the best I can do. Good luck.

I have probably spent $500-$700 thus far but I did make a few mistakes like buying a 510 to start with and have been chasing a tank system that doesn't leak or give a burnt tast, Fingers crossed that my next order will stop me chasing for a while.

I would have spent a lot more and probably fallen back to the analogs if it was not for ECF and and the awesome members, Thanks to all for helping me successfully getting off the deadly analogs and lowering my risk of becoming another public hospital bill which also comes with an early and painful death.... Now if only my government was compassionate enough to do the same.

I've only been vaping 3 months. Most of the money I've spent on hardware has been on undersized/underpowered stuff that I wish I had never bought. I've given all of that away. I've got my two ego passthroughs. I go through about a carto or two a week. I have half a dozen atty's for testing juice. I have a 5V passthrough at my computer desk.

On juice, I spent several hundred dollars trying to find my main love. Now that I have, I buy it in 250ml bottles. My main juice expense is less that $2/day. I have a few oddball flavors that I drop on an atty when I get bored. Then I have my WTA juice. I use a few drops/day on that--it's not a big expense, but it's a "gotta have" so I can't let myself run out.

I vape like a research monkey. I'm not spending anywhere near the money I did on smokes.

I last posted in this thread 5 months ago. Since then, I've spent about $30, on two Joye eGo USB chargers. So over the past five months I've spent about 20¢ per day. My overall average since I started vaping (1/15/2010) is still in the Red when compared with what I would've spent on cigarettes ... but, it is at an all time low and falling. If I don't spend another cent, I'll break even on March 19, 2012. I may need some batteries before then, nothing else.

Kind of hated to think about it:facepalm: But I went and added up my totals since starting in August 2011 $768.00
Thats for 2 of us we presently have 2 eGo pass thrus and 4 regular eGo that we are useing plus 4 new eGo sitting in the drawer 3 bxs of 510 atty=15 plus 4 bxs of Fluxomizers and about a 2-2 1/2 mth supply of juice on hand. I dont know how to figure this out for the year and I would still like to try a Lavatube. At the time of this posting my banner shows that I saved $1134.00 needs to be a way of subtracting the cost of ecigs

You can't figure it out for the year yet. Start up costs are the biggest expense. From now on, your costs will be replacement parts, liquid and any mods (eg Lavatube) you decide to buy. But so far you've vaped for 5.5 months so that's $140 a month.

My first 12 months I spent over three times as much as I did in the next 12 (and I still bought 2 new mods.)

ETA: With the new purchases it's $173 a month. But you're not going to be buying 5 boxes of Fluxomizers every month. The average will drop as the year progresses. :2cool:
