My son and I quit smoking and started vaping on the same day over 2 years ago, Feb 7th 2013 to be exact. He made a spread sheet which includes both of our purchases. Together we have spent $3,100.10 as of today. It would have cost us $7,404.76 for cigarettes in the same time period. Total $ saved...4,304.66....vaping cost percentage..41.87%. So yeah, a lot cheaper for us and definately healthier :toast:

I got suckered into this by the cost savings. In all, I really have saved a good amount of money. However, reality sets in, and the savings isn't as great as I should have made it. I get interested in trying new things, and wind up buying it.

My latest big purchase was two Sigelei 150s, but one was only $20 using a customer appreciation card. Prior to that, I won a couple hundred from a scratcher, and ended up blowing some of it on a SMY 260.

If I quit buying new things, my costs per month would only be about $50 or so, since I mix most of my own juice...which is a huge amount less than what I was spending on smoking.

Luckily, I've been able to sell most of what I've bought and decided it wasn't what I needed or it didn't work as described, for about half of what I paid for it. I just wish I had taken note of everything I've spent, just to know.
