I didn't pay much attention to how much I was spending on cigalikes when I first started vaping, but ever since I entered the eGo world, I'd say I've been averaging at least $100/150 a month. That will slow down to a trickle, eventually, but right now I'm stockpiling just in case my wife and I ever (God forbid) see lean times. I figure that right now I have enough hardware to last a year and a half to two years, even with a 70/30 equipment success/failure ratio, longer, if I eased up on the button a little bit. I don't stockpile e-liquid though, because I don't want it to go bad. I generally keep a 4-5 month supply on hand. And I'm rambling and wandered off topic...

If I'm under $65 a month then I'm in the green. That's everything included -mods, batteries, juices, bases. That's what I've told to myself :) I've spent a lot of money for things to try, almost every clearo I had to try. Now I found my perfect gear and my favourite diy juice, so I don't need to spend anything for the next few months. I really hope that there won't be anything new that I want to try :D

First month - gearing up for two: $220
Second month, still gearing up, trying flavors - $120
Third month - $45
Fourth month - $0
This month - $28

What we used to spend per month on analogs - $260

Yeah, and now instead of a pile of cigarette butts we have a pile of toys!:headbang:

We went from wasting money to investing in tools! :D

well I diy and use dct carts and vape 4ml a day. a cart typically lasts 4.5 days except my cart for unflavored liquid. that cart is over three months now and still works like new plus it only costs me .91 cents to make 30ml of unflavored liquid so its costing me .02 cents to vape that.

1 ml of 50mg nic solution costs .10 cents. .8 ml flavoring around .15 cents. got my carts in a group buy for 100 at .72 cents each. I usually have 3 or 4 going at once for different flavors. over the last 6 months have used 40 so about 4.5 days per cart = .16 cents per day.

my grand total per day cost is .43 or $3.01 a week or $156.52 a year.

I do have other costs. I replaced all my tanks with Smok Tec pyrex dct tanks. got them in a group buy at $8 each including shipping. And, every few weeks I get some new flavors or replace the ones I am low on. After three years of vaping this has definitely been my year. I use to have vape mail coming in every week now its every few weeks. Also in considering what the FDA and government in general could do to this industry I have a 7 year supply of nicotine nicely frozen in my freezer. My only regret with vaping is I should have started DIYing much sooner.

Too much, but less than I did on stinkies. My wife and I started vaping to get off the analogs and we have been successful doing so. This is the big benefit for us. I think in the long term we will end up saving a bit, since we have invested in rebuildables, but we buy a lot of juices to try them, enjoy getting some new toys (some nice rebuildable drippers, most recently) and don't think much about it. We did this to stop smoking, not necessarily to save money. If we do save a few bucks in the long term, great. But not the point.
