If it is helping you stop the cigs then it is not too much. I started out using 1 - 1.5 mL a day and am now at about 2 - 2.5 mL of 18mg juice. I was also a pack a day smoker. Been vaping almost two weeks now. Haven't touched or craved a stinky since I started. As long as you are staying off the bad stuff you are doing fine.

I have seen posts of people blowing through 6 - 10mL a day so you and I are on the low end.

Hey Frank...congrats on no more analogs!!

I've been vaping for 17 days now, after a 1 1/2 - 2 packs a day habit (for 35+ yrs).

No analogs since the 10th of August.

I am vaping about 4-6 mls a day at 24mg strength and I haven't felt this good physically for many, many years!

I'm not looking back and I can't care right now how much I vape. I'm off of cigarettes and that's the REALLY important thing.

I anticipate lowering the nic strength as time goes on.

Give yourself a hardy pat on the back and don't worry about it right now.

....just my opinion...

You might want to think about going with a higher strength juice if you're going through a lot, or find yourself with big cravings. I was a 1.5-2 pack smoker, and tend to vape 1-2 ml of about 30 ml juice. I can go lower, and vape more but it's tough for me to keep up with hydration when I'm vaping that much.

If you get too much nic you'll feel it, and it wears off in a few hours.

I have been vaping at about 4.0 - 4.2V on a 2.4 ohm clearo for several days now. I am getting the taste I want but I too have been blowing through juice. Like you though, I am glad to be off the analogs. And I can't explain fast enough to the wife how much better this new habit is than the old one. Although, she is happy that I do not come to bed smelling like an overused ashtray.

Hi Frank... I've been an on-again-off-again vaper for a couple of years now. I don't have anything against e-cigs in general, I just need to have the money to try different setups since I have yet to find one that is right for me. I know when I first start vaping that I will vape constantly, I think it's normal because you aren't getting as much nicotine as you used to. Don't worry about cutting back until you feel like it, and you will eventually feel like it; for me it's kind of like bumming a full flavor cigarette from a friend after I've been smoking lights, and having that feeling every time I vape.... For you, it might be different, but you'll know when it's time to cut back or lower your nicotine dose.

My advice to you: Trust yourself and don't over-think it. You'll eventually get the drag-hold-blow method that works for you down, you'll start getting all the nicotine you can from vaping, and you'll find that you can set your e-cig down for a little longer than what you did before. It's a new process, it takes some getting used to, cut yourself some slack, and enjoy learning the process.

Been vaping for about 3 weeks and only gone through a bottle and a pack of cartomizers (16mg and 18mg resp.). I thought I was using too much because the thing seemed to never leave my hand but it keeps me from being a grump. I stopped analogs back in April and the past 5 months I was just always grouchy. I will never touch another analog again and I'm loving the vapage. :p My only concern is putting too much in at one time. But I've been searching forums and learned that I wasn't blowing out the juice to clean it. Good luck and happy vaping!

Vaping for 2 1/2 months, eGo twist @ 4.0'ish volts and ~ 2 - 3 mL's a day of 18 mg. Next juice will be 12'ish mg as I'm hoping this is cessation rather than replacement. Working like a champ so far! For me, if I overdo it I get a ripping headache and put the PV down for the night ... I'm good to go the next morning.

If I'm partaking in the drink, all bets are off ;)

I don't know what scale one could use to gauge whether you're using too much or just enough. Who's to say? If you're keeping the cravings at bay then I say your doing just enough, whether it's 1ml/day or 20ml/day. No matter how much you're using it's better than even a few analogs a day.

I have been on the juice for about 3 weeks and I'm going through about 5ml/day or so. I am vaping nearly constantly and my wife gives me a hard time about it (while she's still sucking on cancer sticks. LOL!) but I'm not smoking so it's fine with me. Anyone else who thinks it's "too much" can kiss my ...! I'm feeling better and breathing better, no more coughing all through the night...it's great!

Keep on vaping and as long as it's not causing you financial problems don't worry about how much other's might think is too much....it's your health and you know how much you need to keep away from the CO,Tar and 4000 other carcinogens.

My start was kinda opposite. I could (and did) smoke Camel filters all day to the tune of 3+ packs a day. But when I got my first eGo with 18mg juice, it set me into a coughing fit. I could barely do 11mg juice with the chronic bronchitis I have been living with for so long. Still don't know how I could do those nasty cigs all day and not some mid range juice. After a few weeks off analogs, the bronchitis has cleared up and my nic levels vary from 11 to 18. Kinda just depends on the juice. The tobacco stuff is a little stronger while the other stuff is around 11. I'm one of those that go through about 6ml a day though.
