This is from MR. Tasty Vapor. He is someone i consider (and many others do to)to be a expert on the subject.

I just wrote to Jebey. If you have a liquid that you anticipate running out of quickly, something you vape daily, I'd say refrigeration isn't a bad idea. But if you have a BUNCH, store it somewhere where you can keep it around 50 degrees and OUT OF THE SUN.

Some browning will occur with age and the nicotine's exposure to oxygen. That's fine, it's expected, but no liquid has a shelf life beyond a year and by all means, don't buy a truck load of my liquid thinking you're stocking up for the year. I'll be around.

Hit me up for liquids as you need them. Pace yourself. It's okay. IN the mean time. Keep your liquids COOL and OUT OF THE SUN and don't freak if they get a little darker, that's normal.

I don't see anything of substance backing up that claim in that thread and in one post it is even talking about 1-3 months. Whatever. I have 4 people vaping out of my stash and I am going to put some up for sale that I don't like anyway, so no, my stash won't go bad.

I have some TV flavors and they don't have an expiration date on them. If this is such an issue, I would think the least they could do is put a date on their own products. What's up with that?

I sure as hell wouldn't vape anything that's been sitting around a year, let alone two years. Even if you have a years worth of juice you can rotate it accordingly. If you have two years worth,well.....you have issues.

Why not? All my V4L juice has an expiration date of 2 years. I trust them to be honest about how long my juice will last, since they've actually put a date on the product.

I have to wonder why some are not putting expiration dates on their products, though. I've ordered U.S. made juice from several different suppliers and the only one I have that is U.S. made with an exp. date on it is Ms. Ts Bakery Essentials. Tasty Vapor, Nhaler and My Freedom Smokes do not have expiration dates.

I'm not at home at the moment, so I can't actually check my DIY stuff... But saying that, I don't remember any exp dates on the Lorann's flavors I have. Or on the Glycerin USP I have either...

But.. extracts have exp dates on them. I wouldn't flavor any of my own juices with extracts since there's sugars and such in them, but it is possible that some of the companies out there do..

I'm not really worried too much about it.. I found a frozen burrito in my freezer that expired in the '90s, and it didn't taste too bad after nuking it a bit.

An expiration date of homemade juice is going to be nothing but an estimation anyway. Who's to say how old the flavorings and nic are when the maker/supplier gets them, how long they have them in stock before they mix the juice and sell it to the customer? Since there are several components to the juice itself, then homemade juice is going to be difficult to time. And just because there is an expiration date on something doesn't mean it magically goes "bad" on that date.

I'd like to know what is the worst thing that is going to happen if it does go bad? From what I've researched is the flavors and the nic level can weaken and there can be some darkening in the color. As far as bacteria is concerned, PG is by its nature antibacterial and anti-viral so unless you are using all VG, that shouldn't be much of an issue.

So, the "going bad" thing is not really addressed other than a way to frighten people as far as I can tell. I don't like fear mongering I get enough of that from the news and my own government. I don't need it from nic juice suppliers.
