I'm finding I want to increase my flavorings more than I usually do but I thought I read somewhere that the rule of thumb is 20% (all flavors combined). If you have a flavor that you like at 15% but want to add another that is 15% then add one at 5% then another at 5% then you have 40% in the end.Do some of you get that high up in % or, is that too much??
It seems most people like to take a primary flavor at around 15% and everything else extra is about 3-5%.

I start at 1/2 of my flavour % for stand alone's and the same with whatever other stand alone i wanna mix and adjust as needed. I don't know what a 40% flavour taste like but i'm sure someone does. :vapor: My suggestion get some super concentrated flavors that r good @ 2-8% when doing a complex mix. Peace.

It depends on the flavoring - some top out at 5%, some never top out. I mix NF butterscotch at 50% and it tastes great. If I could I would just drop nic in the flavoring itself & vape away, but it would be too thin to work in the tank.

Health may be a concern - flavorings are the true unknown in e-cigs; we don't know what is in them or what affects they may have in our lungs/bodies. And each one is different. At 40% one would be inhaling 2-3 times the amount of flavoring, and whatever is contained within it.

There is no set percentage. It's for your own taste. BUt I have flavorings that need 1 drop in 5 ml. I have other that need 20 drops in 5 ml ... It already depends if your flavor is highly concentrated or not. Then if you mix in other ones. It can be too much very easily. Mixing alot of different flavors that are highly concentrated can be harder, due to the fact they might completely eliminate other flavors. THere is no right or wrong here. THere is only you like it or not. What works for other might be dull for you or too much for you

I concur with some of the others. It really depends on your tastes. While an 8% may taste good to me, it may taste like donkey .... to you. But at 12% that same flavor may be the best thing in the world to you but overbearing to me. There really is no true exactness. You have to test and find out what your taste buds and/or nose like. Start low and work your way up in small 3mL or 5mL batches so it doesn't go to waste.
