Said I wouldn't spend more on vaping than I did on analogs, "after the initial investment", and I haven't, but.... I have spent pretty much the same. Have been through and still have a ton of equipment, and have a huge stockpile of diy mixing supplies. from the mini big name "kits" and pre-filled carts, 510s and egos, to the Spinner and clearos, novas, carts, tanks we are using now, and just about everything in between. I am married, so, I get to buy 2 of everything. Sitting here looking at these boxes of "stuff", thinking at some point, I gotta say enough, we can get by quite fine with this. Somebody said it is "shiny new toy syndrome" when I said buying this stuff was addictive as the nicotine is. gotta love/hate consumerism. oh well, at least we aren't burning it up like the analogs, and we haven't "smoked" an analog in 4 months, so there's that too. Good health costs good money. cheers.

You've spent the same in dollars, but not in terms of your health.

Yep. very very happy to be rid of the analogs, feel better, and enjoy vaping way more than I ever did smoking. it's definately worth it, but i am getting ready to kick back and use what I have, until it burns out. lol, and then buy some better "stuff". lol. cheers.

So many of us vapers can relate to this and are doing the same thing. Each time I purchase a new mod I'll tell myself this is the last one as I have way more than enough also. However, each one is completely different with its own unique features. I have them all neatly lined up on the desk, various shapes, colors, size, etc. I enjoy looking at them!

Its seems its becoming a hobby and one that I rather enjoy. I spend countless hours reading on the forums, looking at vendor websites, and always ordering juices and drip tips. Who knew how excited I would feel to come home to vape mail. Its almost like being a kid again.

Today I had a wonderful purple Vmod bottom feeder package come. Honestly, I can't stop looking at, or vaping the thing. So far its my favorite. But then again I said that about my Zmax a month ago. Lol!

Yes, its an expensive hobby but not any more than smoking was. I had nothing to show for that $200 a month I smoked up. Now I have so many beautiful mods and I feel so much better and the best thing is I don't stink anymore.

I'm already planning on my next mod--a Reo Woodvil birdseye maple. Who knows after that, but I'm sure I'll find something.

Oh and by the way there is no such thing as too much vaping stuff/mods. Lol !

It's money spent pertaining to better health AND it makes you happy.
You think you are going to live forever?
Buy what you want when you want, within reason.Life is short, vape hard.

lol. it's the "within reason" part I am having to justify to myself. lol. nobody gets out alive, that is for sure.

tippy, couldn't help but notice the Harley sign on your avatar. lol. the last time I spent this much money was on my Harleys. Always needed that next upgrade.

Lol, so true and you know HD stands for hundreds of dollars. Upgrades for vaping is way way cheaper. I could fill half this house full of vaping gear for what hubby paid for both bikes. Yeah its my turn to spend, spend , spend. Lol !

true, true, but eventually the bike gets done, and becomes "old faithful", and that's how she stays,... until the next overhaul. and yes, Harleys plural makes it even tougher. I think there is another benefit to these, you can actually use them on the bike without pulling over to spark up, and then getting the smoke tunnel rammed down your throat in 4.5 seconds. these are almost perfect for riding. no more "we pull over every hundred miles for a smoke break". lol. ah, the good old days.

i've spent some cash in my quest. but, i look at it this way. I have been making progress. It took me five steps (different devices) to get to my provari. everyday the average daily cost comes down for using it. i just got a terminator RBA. when i get good at rebuilds i'll stop buying DCTank carts. at two bucks a cart they were too expensive. the RBA will be real cheap with just having to replace wire and wick. fifteen feet of silica wick cost me $14 with shipping. thats gonna build alot of coils. Wire - about the same cost, using r and nr wire. back to my provari the 18650 batts arent too expensive and they're a great battery. last all day on one charge and have had them 3 months i think. so the problem - liquids are costing me real money. i have to become a DIYer. i'm sure i can do it. i like my flavor fairly simple. i currently like tobacco which i think are really concentrated so its not like i will need a high percentage of flavor to make them. also like some flavors like cookies. they will probably cost more to make but thats ok. i'm thinkin i can cut my current cost of liquids by at least 60%. so i'm spending some coin now but working toward cheaper days.

Dont get caught up like some poeple in here with 10-15 mods 30-50 juice bottles etc...You dont need all that, remember you quit smoking to save your health and money too.I only have 2 twists and a Volcano Lavatube 2 with 2 batteries and 3 Vivinovas and other 2 Kanger tanks, for juice I only like 2 maybe 3 flavors.I dont need nothing else.

I'd say you've reached that point when your collection starts meaning more to you than vaping actually does.

You'll see people on here who almost violently defend a sub-par product (based on user reviews) because they see it as an attack on their collection.

When it stops becoming about quality and all about quantity.

I've seen this in a lot of areas from video games to computers. I believe they see it as an attack on themselves and their judgement.

I recently cleaned out my vape box after talking to a friend who was interested in starting. He bought a knockoff ego that came packaged with a stardust and some crappy liquid, but he just wasn't happy with the flavor, vapor etc. and was going at lunch to buy some cigs.
I told him that I might have a few extra bits and pieces that might help but I would have to check, and I had to LOL when I sorted it out. He got:
2 eGo 900 batts with charger
5 pack blank carts
2 new dripping atomizers
2 drip tips
2 new clearos
1 smoktech DCT with 4 extra pre punched cartos
7 assorted bottles of liquid
.... And a case for it all.
Surprisingly it didn't even put a dent in my collection and it felt good to purge some of the stuff I didn't care for or never used, not to mention feeling great about helping a friend out before he got too discouraged and went back to cigs. His wife sent me a text telling me that he wouldn't come to bed because he was too busy playing with all of his new toys and wanted to express how grateful they both were.
Now.......time to fill the empty spaces in my vape box LOL

So far you haven't spent more then you would have smoking and two of you haven't smoked in four months so I'd say you are doing very well :) I've come to beleive that buying and trying new stuff along with spending time here on ECF in ones first year is a large factor in the success of so many here in staying smoke free. No, everyone doesn't need to do that to stay smoke free, BUT for many of us it is something that helps our process. Remember, lots of people stop smoking all the time using lots of methods, but the hardest part is staying quit ;)

Is there much stuff in your collection that you wouldn't ever use under any circumstances ? If not then you may be very glad to have what you have in your vaping collection at some time in your future. :)
