Hi all!

I'm hoping that if there is enough interest in this thread the inof we gather can be forwarded to sellers and maybe they can convince the manufacturers to produce the product we all want. So here's the question:

How much would you be willing to pay for a cartomizer that is NOT disposable ? The parameters would be it must be easily cleanable, easily refillable, and last at least as long as a high quality traditional atomizer.
AND it must not be subject to "burn out". I don't really care about the technical details like ohms and resistance etc...that's for them to figure out. I just think that the reason we don't have one already is that it isn't profitable to make. So if companies knew that we were willing to make it worth their while maybe they would put more effort into producing a cartomizer we can be happy with. What do you think???

I would personally be willing to pay up to $25. What about you?

Hi lorikay,

I am guessing you mean per five pack? If so, I must admit I think that would be a little steep. Just my opinion as I think they could be manufactured pretty close to what it is now. Based strictly upon what others have said and methods they have stated. I have no scientific basis but I would still feel that $25.00 was too much. I think I would feel like I was being taken advantage of because they know many of us are feeling that the current ones aren't very safe and we want something we feel is safe.

So, no, I would not pay $25.00 because I just can't see it costing them that much more. To me, it would just seem like extreme greed for the reason mentioned above. Look at the slight adjustments made to the one brand and it is very close to where it needs to be. Price didn't go up that much.

That is a nice idea. I am just saying that for a price of 5 cartos ya looking at the cost of 25 bucks that seems fair. I would also like you to keep in mind that most places don't do returns on attys unless they are DOA, no matter how long they did or didn't work.
A 510 don't come with a will last 500 puffs or more listing. I am just one to think that most people do get a few refills. I am going to have to say most of the posters, I have seen, say they can get at norm about 5 to 10 refills.
Just my 2c

I would be willing to pay $15 ($75 for a box of 5) for a carto that lasts up to a year. For that price I would probably want the filler material easily replaceable too. Maybe they could build filler refills that look like cigarette butts, that are hollow in the middle and you simply twist them in and twist them off about every month or two.

Maybe they should build both kinds. The kind we all use now, and a super premium next generation also.

v1John...I totally agree! I've been thinking that just being able to replace the filling would be a huge improvement. Or like you said...some kind of inner cartridge that could be replaced. I really suprised that people want them so cheap...I mean if you look at the price of an atty...7-$10 at least....and I hear people complain all the time about them being DOA or not lasting more than a couple weeks. And then if you compare that to the price of analogs!!! They were up to $7 a PACK here in Oregon when I quit last year...and I've heard they went up again. Anyway...thanks for the input. Happy Vaping! :)

I think that is reasonable, as long as each carto gave you a year's worth of vaping.

(PM2006, it would actually last even longer)

After thinking more, I realize now that I would even pay more. I think I would pay $34 per carto. (or $100 for a box of 3)
Each can last about a year, so you really don't even need boxes of 5.

I think they at least finally found the right major design (the kr808d1-based), where atomization is along the center wind tunnel, as opposed to needing the liquid to be drawn forward through a wick, then to the coil, and then back around the fluid and finally to the vaporer. You lose a lot of flavor with those other designs, I think, don't you all?
