How often do nic liquids really get seized?

So far I've placed 12 orders through US vendors and none of them have been seized by Canada Customs.

Most packages have actually sailed through customs fairly quickly (1-2 days max), but my last order was held for 12 business days before finally being released, and when it arrived I had to pay $21.94 in customs duties.

The package was valued at $200.00 CDN and contained 8 30ml bottles of e-liquid (with nicotine), five packs of pre-filled cartomizers (with nicotine), two packs of blank cartomizers, a 1300 mAh ego battery, two clearomizers a battery charger and other assorted accessories.

Guess it all comes down to the luck ( or misfortune ) of the draw :

Economic ties between Canada and the U.S. are close, the number of parcels and packages that get shipped to and fro commercially or privately must staggering. Add the fact that many citizens of both countries have family roots all over globe. Add the fact that anyone can order stuff with a few mouseclicks from a store 3 miles or 3 continents away. Means there is a tidal wave of packages and parcels flooding in and out every day.

Customs got bigger fish to fry than a few bottles of liquids for private recipients. Of course, if your package happens to end up in a random look-see, it might get returned or seized, but judging from all the posts, the stats are clearly in your favour...

Out of maybe 50 orders I had my first seized in nov. I think if it sits for more then 2 weeks in customs, u should worry. Secondly anything going through montreal st laurent port has a higher chance of being seized. Don't ask me why. But I do not think they flag the recipients adress, I think they may flag the senders though. like BWB told me I was only there second order seized, but now they will not ship to canada anymore due to a huge volume of returned orders, how many that is who knows?
