I clean my PT 2 coils every 2 days. Just pull the top off and let them soak in some water for half a day. Then let them dry on some bog roll in a warm place for half a day. I'm still using a 4 week old coil and it is vaping fine. Every week I give the rest of the tank a wee scrub. Nothing fancy just warm soapy water, followed by a good rinse.

So Cal
Looks like you're as new to this as I am :)

Every few days I take my clearomizers apart and run them under warm water to get most of the gunk out, and them soak them overnight. I used to use vodka for this, but denture cleaner (cheap) seems to do a better job. Next morning I let them dry for the rest of the day (helps to have spare ones). I do have spare coils, so once the wicks look burned I'll just throw the old one away and pop in new one.

Is it okay to clean tanks and atomizer heads with Isopropyl Alcohol?

I wouldn't, if you want to sterilize just use PGA (everclear or vodka, anything clear, Jack Daniels tends to gunk it up again) - Iso Alcohol leaves a very bad taste (even after dry) and will rot your brain

I actually use an ultrasonic cleaner with hot tap water to clean all my tank parts (originally purchased for steeping but did not work worth a darn IMHO)

Don't forget to give your battery contacts a clean every now and then. Just a wipe with a paper towel when you refill your clearo will help keep everything in order.

If you do notice juice in there, clean it out with a Q-tip.

I never had Q-Tips in the house till my retailer told me they would be my best friend...so many wet, dirty, dead friends though. Works for me though...I also use a soft toothbrush to lightly scrub the wicks on my T3s coils under as hot of water as I can stand...then dunk them in hot water and let them dry over night...I get about three cleanings per coil before I have to toss them...must have 20 coils on stand by now.

Thanks for the tips...I was always wondering how well I really had to clean my contacts...good to know that every time I recoil is sufficient for my purposes.

While others may think it a little strange of me... when it comes to cleaning my coils...
I'm really not into dry firing them... instead I soak them in a little
100% Propylene glycol... now that's the same Propylene glycol we use in our E-juices...

And the same Propylene glycol used to clean... or separate major gunk... in many areas
that have oil spills that can damage property and water ways and even the local
mechanics garages... etc... and or old machinery that needs cleaned...
The Propylene glycol breaks up gunk and oils and makes them separate and
fall off objects.

I know when I use a REAL fine artists paint brush - and lightly clean
(brush around and over) coils of a head
that normally can't even be seen... that the coils show right up for me...
I am real careful
not to apply any pressure... I don't want to break or hurt those coils... they clean up nice
enough... and the wicks accept the Propylene glycol... so when I put everything back
together I don't have to DRY BURN anything... I just fill the tanks and in a few minutes
with what ever flavor I want and it quickly (in a few vapes) takes over from the PG that I used.

And, that way I don't have to wait NO 24-48 hours for the heads to dry out...
and can use them right away... or store them for later use.

Correction... I do have some coils... (heads) Aspire BDCs
That I can't get into without breaking apart...
I do leave these over night soaking in a small glass with
some Propylene Glycol (enough to cover) the heads...
How they keep on working so well I just don't know...
but they sure are doing a great job.

Yes, but you have to dry it out really well...wicks too. ISO leaves no residue, that's why they use it to clean stuff (use the medical grade 91% or higher). You don't want to drink/vape it although a couple drops worth won't hurt ya as a general rule. You may wish to rinse it after drying to be sure and remove aftertaste or remaining ISO if any.

Vodka and PGA work too, but leave water behind...which is no big deal really.
